That's Impossible when right now you're talking about running out of things to talk about. How about where you work or annoying relatives or embarrassing moments when you where young or just moments. What your friends are like, you hobbies, the list goes on!

if its so hard to talk to him and u are running outta topics, it could mean u guys havent got stuff in common or u havent been talking abt ur hobbies, interests or what u feel about a common topic?
just be urself. if it ant meant to be then dont force it.

Find out about things he enjoys doing, and study up on them. He will appreciate that you are able to discuss things that he is interested in.
