I own a 1967 beetle and my floor pans are severely rusted. the whole car is beautiful and runs perfect so I want to know what floor pans would fit my car. Ive found great deals on floor pans from earlier years like 1963-1965 but I have no idea if they will not fit a 1967 body. PLEASE HELP!!

You can repair the rusted ones better than new.

Sounds like you have a solution..

There were two flavors back then

One kind simply dropped in on top of the old ones and were screwed, rivited or tack welded on..

The other completely replaced rotted out floor pans and required cutting out the old one.

Make sure which one you have before you start hacking away.

ALSO..

1) If you have the first one.. make sure you clean up all the battery acid from the battery area. Baking soda or something similiar. If you are not sure you got it all, just dump a box of baking soda on top of the old site before you place the new one.

2) After you have it in place, buy a battery acid mat to go under the battery. This will keep your pan from being eaten away by the acid vapors. They only run about $5 at auto shops and you can cut them to fit your area.

ok.. have fun.. and then enjoy your bug....

According to this site http://www.wolfsburgwest.com/cart/DetailsList.cfm?ID=111701061M they are the same from 1956 to 1970. In 71 I think they changed the seat rails (pre-welded onto the pan) but the pan itself is still identical.
