I have experimented a little with magic and some potions. In general they have worked. Often not quite as expected.
I have been able to heal my wounds and get rid of illnesses usually by performing a simple restorative ritual. I tried a love potion once. It worked better than I had imagined it could. Fortunately its effect didn't last very long so there were no consequences from it.
I refrain from using any manipulative magic except in harmless ways - to help me win a tennis match or perhaps avoid an encounter that I feel might be unpleasant.
In general I enjoy knowing I have the power. I don't use it much because I'm not sure I understand why it works. So I don't want to mess things up. But it's nice to know that I could if I had to.
Healing and restorative magic is my specialty. It is most effective when I use it on myself, but I have been able to heal others on occasion. I have never tried it on anyone who was very seriously ill or near death so I don't know how powerful I really am. I guess a part of me is afraid to see a limit to my power.

I have not done ones that would have a result like that. I do "let justice be done" or healing rituals, or otherwise putting my will and energy into something that is happening, but not in a way that would be testable in the result. The only one I ever did like that (back when I was new at this) failed, but now I am very glad it did.
Part of the problem is knowing what my true will is, and how what I am working on will ultimately fit into my true will. In that case, the one that failed, I was being very short-sighted, thinking of short-term gains (which may or may not have happened anyway) instead of long-term ones.
I must say that I do not believe in spells of the sort you seem to suggest. I do not bury a boiled egg in urine in a mason jar at midnight under the new moon, or disembowel small animals for ingredients in potions. I mostly light a candle of the right symbolic color, and incense which corresponds to my intention (and HOPEFULLY to my true will), and meditate. I also read Tarot cards, but that's divination, not a spell.

Yes, mine have. There was this girl in my group who constantly tried to manipulate people to be high priestess. I did a spell to heal her soul and to make her not be so cruel. She stopped and moved on. There was another when I had a plant about to die. I did a spell to help it grow, and it got HUGE. In fact, it is still in my back yard. The best trick to it is writing your own. I stink at rhyme schemes, so I just say what I want in a chant. I also use elements that pertain to the spell. For example, I burned lavender oil for the mean girl, while using a leaf from the plant to heal it. The more personal, the more powerful. Also, using during the right moon cycle is best. If you get a Wiccan Almanac...it tells all. Good luck!

It does work but you usually have to wait for it and be smart about it. I did some candle magic to help a friend through a surgury and he came out fine.
I prayed over my husband to come home 'unscathed' from Iraq. I painted runes on his back with woad just before he left and sent him with a talisman bag that had some sacred stones, my hair and my blood in it. He came home without a scratch on him. His mind and soul were also intact so i think my spell worked there too.
I'm a pretty dedicated kitchen witch and always pray over the food I cook. Now, I could pray over twinkis and hohos to make my family strong but that probably won't work. Praying over healthy chicken and vegetables will probably make it better. Remember that your spells only enhance what is already evident. they don't necessarily create things out of the blue.
blessed be

before everything, magic is purely colored by the biases of the guy casting it. IMO/IME, life isn't so trouble-free as black/white, solid/evil, mild/darkish, etc. I heavily weigh my strategies and means effects for my magic, yet i don't label it. (having stated that, i'm not Wiccan and that i don't think interior the Rede). As for my own reviews, I certainly tend to have a notably solid track checklist; my life is approximately as solid as I certainly have created it to be, however there'll consistently be exterior circumstances previous my administration. a great variety of that's approximately my attitudes in the direction of my own strikes; when I do a job spell, i detect opportunities not in basic terms to discover a extra helpful activity, yet to additionally strengthen my strategies-set in the direction of the activity hunt, which in turn makes me a extra helpful interviewee. It did take prepare, however. i've got been training magic for over a decade, and there is been sure progression by using the years.

There is no such thing as white or black magic. Those are things created by the ignorant to justify themselves. Let's leave dualistic thinking to the Christians.
Yes, I've never been disappointed by my works, but I will not tell you about them. I'm not a Wiccan though, and not all Pagans do magic.

I used to believe in an practice that stuff and honestly none of my spells ever happened. I'm no sure if it was me or if it was just something that wasn't real. Have any of your spells worked?

*That* demonstrates a belief system way up there with "Gods". ... "Magic"? Pfffft! (with its due respect.)
