I had surgery on my right little finger because of a 'freak gardening accident' Spinal Tap watch out. no really, I had to have the joint capsule reconstructed as I sliced it open building a garden fence.

Anyway every now and then I get pain as you describe, it's caused by the tendons getting inflamed and/or tightening. Usually because I have been using a computer too long (small movements on the mouse apparently are no good!) Very similar to RSI.

The physio advised me to stretch them when they hurt and hey, it works, the pain goes away.

So try this... with your good hand, squeeze the little finger of the other hand flat down against your palm, curl your hand over too for a good stretch and hold it for about 10 sec, then relax & repeat. Then bend the sore finger backwards with your arm out straight and hold that for 10 sec, relax & repeat.

I realize of a case wherein after suffering within the left arm AND shoulder, an ECG used to be performed and center assault used to be dominated out. He had a fundamental assault a few hours after the ECG. Luckily he survived. Depends on what style of exams were implemented on your dad's case. Of path it would continuously be a muscular suffering however in those instances one simply can not be too cautious. If suffering persists, I propose your dad once more cross to a health care professional.

It could be a number of things: Tendonitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, strain or sprain, or just one of those mysterious aches that seem to come and go and have no particular cause. If you really want a diagnosis and possible relief from this pain, then you'd probably better make time to see your doc. Hopefully, it is nothing serious. Good luck!
