This guy that I've been seeing for almost a month (not like everyday, but a handful of times) has been asking me lately, why I don't have a guy. Why would he be asking me that? Or why is he not coming out and asking me if I want him to by my guy?

Well, that may be a clue that he is interested with you but don't rely on chances. Still, try to stay nice to him but don't let your emotions stir - like thinking he likes you. If in time he stays as nice, kept giving hints to you, and you think he's sincere, he should have gathered enough courage to propose to you to be your boyfriend. Being nice all the time yet prudent in making decisions before jumping into a relationship is a good girl's virtue. Try to know him more. But on the other hand if the guy is very shy yet you think he really likes you, and for a long time he has not told you, and you really wanted to know, then reciprocate his hints but not too much. If you're so excited after a very long time that you ought to know how he really feels about you, gather enough courage and ask him directly just be ready for his answer, and this time you gotta take the chance. You cannot win unless you dare to try. Good luck.

Logically, if you tells him that you don't have a guy because you don't want any relationship right now, then he would not propose to you because he will just blow his chance.

He's probably very insecure and is trying to know if he stands any chance if he were to propose to you right now. Sort of like, are you ready for a relationship or you're staying away from one at the moment.

That's how they determine if you're worth the effort. I dont think it's right....but he thinks that there MUST be something wrong with YOU if a guy hasnt snatched you up yet. Why dont you ask him the same question and see what his response is. Next time he asks you that question and say, " I dont know...hmmm, why are YOU single?"

probably waiting for you to give him some kind of sign that you are interested too. He just doesn't want to be rejected. Be bold and give him a clue since he obviously doesn't have one. :o)
Good Luck!

It sounds to me like a compliment/ shy way of asking you to be his girl.

He's making sure you don't have someone hidden away somewhere so he can make his move.

He's trying to feel out if you like him too. He's shy.

You should let him know in a more subtle way that you want him to be your guy.
