why is there more ppl on here putting down religious beliefs?

so called non believers are fast to say us believers and christians are rude,hateful,try to shove it down non believers throats.were accused of being mean ride and hateful.am i the only seeing this?

all im saying is i see more christians put down for there beliefs and ppl who believe in god put down more by non believers.dont matter to me how anyone believes.i live and let live.all im saying is non believers say believers are shoving it down there throats aint it time we quit getting called names and put down cause of how we feel and im sorry if you feel im biased was just an innocent question,.geeshhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

and im not talking about knocking on my door im talking about on news,in newspapers and all the laws there trying to change

are you forgetting the government is one who wont allow the words MERRY CHRISTMAS on government property anymore.there the ones who say if my children want to silently pray in school during a free minute ,they cant.besides i have never been to the gay and lesbian sight.thank you very much.i also do not put them down and for the record i have several friends and family members who are atheist or just dont believe,but thats there choice all im trying to say is if everyone would respect other ppl belief then world would be better place.and i dont stick my nose in other ppl business i ask a innocent question not meaning anyone harm.after all it is still freedom of speech.PPS,one of my own children is into this whickery or however its spelled and she doesnt believe but thats ok.its called respect

I think that there are a lot of people that find pleasure in putting down those with religious beliefs. It is difficult for a non-believer to understand faith.

I am blessed with my faith and I spend everyday of my life, be it good or bad, knowing that I am not alone. At the end of the day I go to sleep knowing that I am loved and that my place is secure in heaven.

We are here to help spread the word of God, but in kindness and love. We can plant the seed but only the holy spirit can sow it. I think that there are many seeds planted and that is why so many non-believers spend their time reading through and responding to religious questions.

Be strong in your faith and understand that their response comes from a lonely place. Perhaps in the midst of their anger they will come to know God. Be grateful you already do.

haven't you seen ALL those posts saying atheists are following the devil,they have no morals ,they're people who are looking for an excuse to booze and have scandalising sex?

i think it's a little problem of observer bias you have there

don't you think the things i mentioned above ARE very mean rude and hateful? and you ask why people THINK christians are like that?

ok people do say belief in god(s) is irrational,but haven't you notice that out of all the theists (christians,hindus,etc etc) christians seem to be specifically targeted?
why do you think this is? because christians also don't mind their business and try to force their way of thinking on others.

ever seen a hindu who tried to "save" anyone or who tried to preach?

when people mind their own business ,other people won't attack their beliefs.the moment they try to put their beliefs on others,they should expect their beliefs to be attacked because they're also doing the same things to others.

e.g. if a pagan is being told day in day out that her beliefs are false and christianity is the only way ,how is that NOT attacking her beliefs? how is trying to infiltrate the government and trying to make this a christian state NOT attacking other people's beliefs? how is saying nasty things to gays and lesbians in the gay forum NOT attacking people?

why are hetero christians even IN the gays and lesbians forum?!!

you're missing the point.you asked a general question as to why christians aren't popular.i answered that with the reasons as to why in general christians aren't popular-because of the many hateful things some christians say and do.

had you asked on this forum "why do people not seem to like ME and put down my beliefs?" i would have answered saying "sorry,i don't know you personally so i wouldn't know how to comment on that"

but since you asked a general question ,i gave a general asnwer......please be more mature rather than coming on here and ranting.ALSO,if you use the search option you'll see that there are about 50 of this same question asked by people.i myself ahve answered more than 10.

We real christains who try to share our love are often over shadowed by the ones that come in the name of Christ to deceive. The enemy (devil) has planted tares among us in an effort to destroy us. But the rest just laugh and make fun of us. Just as in the days of Noah so shall it be at the time of the coming of the Lord. Anyone reading anything on this site will have no excuse for not knowing anything about Christ.
