I broke up with my boyfriend because my best friend confessed to me that she liked him. And I did this even though I still liked him. And to make matters worse she wasn't very appreciative and kept asking me when I was gonna break up with him... I just cant help but wonder what would have happened if we had stayed together... Please tell me what you all think!

Shame shame shame... i understand that you are a really good friend for breaking up with your boyfriend for this so called " best friend". Sometimes you have to but you first and see if you are OK with the situation. This so called " best friend" of your is sick i mean that's not liking the guy that being obsessed.

You broke up with a guy you like because your best friend confessed that she likes him. The reason for that was to give your boyfriend to her?? So what if she liked him....let her get her own boyfriend. She asked you so she can have him and now you have no boyfriend and no best friend because if she goes out with him she definetly is not a best friend. No you didn't do the right thing. What you should have done was tell your best friend that you can hang out with her when you are not with your best friend, hopefully she would understand.

I'm not sure if you were trying to play little Miss Martyr but what you just did was kind of a little stupid. Why sacrifice your own happiness when you know very well you deserve it?
And if your friend was a true friend, she shouldn't even tell you that she likes him. There are secrets that shouldn't be shared and apparently this is one of them.
She was being selfish by telling you that she likes him so as to make you feel guilty.
You should totally have stayed with him together regardless of what she says.

That was so dumb.....So from now on are you going to break up with every guy your best friend says she likes? Make your own decisions and think for yourself you just gave up something u wanted because of someone else selfishness. I understand that is your best friend but what was she trying to gain why would she do that to you? Think about it.

Why oh why did YOU break it off knowing your friend wanted him?? Didn't you have a stake in this? I would say you had rose-colored glasses about your ex that came off.
Can't put them back on now. I'd get someone new.

Obviously you still like him call him before it is to late and make up with him.. when you have a good thing going there will always be people who are jealous. your friend needs to be happy for you. Get your man back honey!!!

I think it was dumb what you did. If you liked your boyfriend you would've stayed with him. Your friend is very inconsiderate, and should've just shutted up even if she liked him, and should've respected your relationship with him.

shouldn't have done that, wasn't his fualt, he can't control her actions, when other guys want my girl, i don't go off and wanna dump her for that, as long as she stays loyal it's fine...
Think maybe you should consider getting your boyfriend back and losing that friend, she ain't no friend if she wan'ts your man, trust me on this...
