The correct term is petechia (or petechiae).
It's defined as a red or purple spot on the body caused by a minor broken capillary blood vessel.

Your terminology "blood vessel bursting" is too extreme. petechia is relatively minor as it is the smallest blood vessels that have a minor break that causes the red or purple spot.

Google is happy with that spelling and more than a bit concerned about the first answer, which has British and old Greek influences. Putting a word into Google and seeing if it suggests an alternative and then looking at the quality of the answers (your question is the first return) is a way of testing a word.
