I've never used the stuff myself, but if it makes you gag, why drink it? As for flavors, I would always choose chocolate. I have a feeling that it's not so much the flavor as it is the texture. If it's thick or chalk-like, that's probably the problem. You might be better off getting your proteins from food, and leave the protein shakes to the body builders.

Are you using whey protein powder with milk or water. I mix it with fruit and 1 tbsp flaxseed oil and I don't have a gag reflex. Someone told me to try soy milk as well but I gained more weight on soy protien. Add ICE and blend all the ingredients in the blender

Try to find a juice that you really like the taste of and looks for that flavor in your protien drinks.
Also, you can always plug your nose and just chug it, think about something nice and its gone in no time.
