You should do some research about the word hell in the bible and what other words it was translated from. Also the bible does not actually say that any person will ''go to heaven'' It actually states that god will dwell with man. I don't believe any of it though

Yes there is, Joy: But you must understand that God's plan for Israel was not that they would go into Roman captivity and sold as slaves around the world. He spent most of His time trying to convince the Jews that He was the Messiah. Even said that Sodom would have repented had the miracles done in Jerusalem was done there. But the Jews wold not hear.
The Heavenly Kingdom just isn't found in the Old Testament for that reason. But as the Jews rejected God's call to mercy, Jesus began to speak of how the Jews wold give Him to the Gentiles to be killed. He started talking about the destruction of Israel and the Holy Temple there. He told them that He was going to prepare a place in His Father's kingdom for them and would return to take them there (John 14:1-4).
As the years passed and Jesus had not returned, the church became discouraged, so, about AD 93, He gave John a vision at Patmos. It described years of persecution, trials, and deviation the church must undergo.
That book, Revelation, outlined several phases the church would pass through by several different governments, the rise and fall of Islam, etc. You are near the end, but yes, the resurrection will take place as this planet is destroyed in Armageddon.
But it doesn't end, because Revelation 21 describes a new heavens and earth. God's Holy City comes from heaven and earth will be God's new creation and it will become just like it was before Adam's fall, except Adam will not be the ruler, but the "last Adam" Jesus, the unfallen Savior.
Yes, Heaven will then be on Earth. We will be the new capitol of the entire universe with God as our ruler.
How astounding, the plan of redemption of this fallen celestial Globe. And the plan of redemption is revealed in a secret Bible code at http://abiblecode.tripod.com
We want to see you there, Joy.
Blessings, One-Way

The Bible tells us that there is not only life after death, but eternal life so glorious that “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him” (1 Corinthians 2:9). Jesus Christ, God in the flesh, came to the earth to give us this gift of eternal life. “He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed” (Isaiah 53:5).
Hell, like heaven, is not only a state of existence, but a literal, and very real, place. It is a place where the unrighteous will experience never-ending, eternal wrath from God. They will endure emotional, mental, and physical torment, consciously suffering from shame, regret, and contempt.
Hell is described as a bottomless pit (Luke 8:31, Revelation 9:1), and a lake of fire, burning with sulfur, where the inhabitants will be tormented day and night forever and ever (Revelation 20:10). In hell, there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, indicating intense grief and anger (Matthew 13:42). It is a place “where the worm never dies and the fire never goes out” (Mark 9:48). God takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but desires them to turn from their wicked ways so that they can live (Ezekiel 33:11). But He will not force us into submission; if we choose to reject Him, He has little choice but to give us what we want – to live apart from Him.

Hi Joy R. God tells us quite a bit about Hell in the Bible. You can read Deuteronomy 28, from verse 15 to the end of the chapter, and you will see expression after expression of things that happen on this earth which are used to develop a picture of the awfulness of hell. I won't post it because it is a very long passage.
God does give us other scripture describing Hell in Revelation 14:11 God warns us:
"And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night."
In Matthew 8:12 He tells us:
"But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness [hell]: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth."
God speaks of hell as a lake of fire in Revelation 20:10:
"And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever."
Salvation is a gift. The same gift of eternal life is given to every believer. Hell is payment for sin. We read in Romans 6:23:
"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
When we look at what the Bible teaches about life in Heaven, we know first of all, we have been given Eternal Life. Outside of existing for all eternity, we do not know what the mechanics of Eternal Life is. Here on earth, we are conditioned to eat food and drink water to sustain these bodies of ours. But along with this, we also need oxygen to survive. Just because we "know" that we need these conditions to survive here, this does not mean that the same conditions will exist in Heaven.
If we have been given Eternal Life, why would we need to eat or drink? None of us know what Eternal Life will be like. What we do know is what we will be doing there, worshiping our God and doing His will. That will be glorious.

The ideas of a heaven and hell are much older than the bible. They go way back. Christians developed the ideas and a lot of christians reject them nowadays - soem think tehre's only heaven and no loving being would make such a horrible place as hell.

Job 11:8
It is as high as heaven; what canst thou do? deeper than hell; what canst thou know?
Psalm 139:8
If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.
Amos 9:2
Though they dig into hell, thence shall mine hand take them; though they climb up to heaven, thence will I bring them down:
Matthew 11:23
And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted unto heaven, shalt be brought down to hell: for if the mighty works, which have been done in thee, had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day.
Luke 10:15
And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted to heaven, shalt be thrust down to hell.
I couldn't list all of the scriptures that talk about heaven or hell so I search for the ones that contained both words in the same scripture. These were what I found. All of these came from the Bible. If there were no heaven or hell, why would there be so many scriptures in the Bible that refer to them? That is biblical basis enough for me.

in terms of real and incorrect, a) shop on with the regulations and b) shop on with your organic empathy. real and incorrect are what's powerful and undesirable for us and society. maximum persons have empathy so we are in a position to place ourselves in others' shoes, so have no desire to harm them. we are in a position to amplify that to artwork out what are stable regulations and codes of behaviour, and what we assume of others. Even etiquette and courtesy come from this. As for heaven, hell and the different declare approximately he way the universe is, I propose you utilize information and reasoning. If people in basic terms declare something yet can furnish no information, then that declare won't be in a position of be reported different than for a falseness. in basic terms via fact a lot of people believe something does not make it real; bear in mind people as quickly as believed the Earth grew to become into flat, and that the sunlight orbited the Earth. Take some time approximately figuring this out - there is not any time shrink. Following a adventure of perception and awareness is unique to each and each individual, and it leads the place it leads. definitely consult with people and get recommendations to mull over, and bouncing recommendations of others could be functional. Your opnions belong to you, so finally your awareness those issues is your selection. I basically propose which you by no ability supply up thinking and proceed to be open-minded.

Yes. This will surprise you, but Jesus in the Gospels mentions Hell more than we see in any other part of the Bible, even though people tend to imagine Him as "Gentle Jesus, meek and mild" ...'mild' is just what He wasn't! He was very good at telling it like it is.
http://www.biblegateway.com/ is an online concordance: You can put in the word you're seeking on, and it will give you all the verses that pertain to it.

He said, "The time has come, and the kingdom of God is near. Change the way you think and act, and believe the Good News." Mark 1:15
