P.S.: I've read ten different translations. The one I'd certainly leave behind is:

1) The Living Bible (paraphrased)

2) The New American Standard Version(too literal).

3) The Jeffersonian Bible (Emasculated by a deist who thought Jesus was only a philosopher.

First, the Bible -- our manual for life, something new stands out every time it's read,
then probably a "Get Fuzzy" or "Dilbert" book of cartoons,
next, "Streams in the Desert" by Mrs. Charles Cowman
(number four would have to be some kind of book of music)
