I was wondering about the diet that people use to gain muscle mass. Any information would be appreciated.

The protein doesn't come from the yolk, it comes from the white...

Besides that, you can become very ill from consuming raw eggs.

If you want protein to build mass and strength, just eat COOKED eggs....or fish (one of THE best sources), turkey, chicken....
And drink milk. It has whey protein.

Do not bother with skim milk. Low-fat diets are actually bad for mass-gaining AND defining muscle through losing weight, believe it or not, because it inhibits tesosterone production (which can also affect OTHER things from being effective). You just need the right kinds of fats. Fish is LOADED with omega-3's and poly/mono unsaturated's. You should also eat lots of fruit and vegetables.

You CAN buy protein powder, but I don't recommend selling your soul to GNC. You can get all the protein you need through your diet, if you know how to eat.

Yes raw egg products can contain Salmonella bacteria. If you bought them fresh and cold, took them home, cracked two in a blender, with some sugar, vanilla extract, orange juice in a with maybe some ice, you would have a Orange Julias with a healthy kick for protein. Egg nog was made for centuries using not much more. Take precautions, but living on earth is hazardous and I would guess you would have more problems with undercooked chicken than eggs. Just keep them cold and fresh or you can always get an egg nog drink and add something else to it for your protein drink.

You could. Salmonella is not (usually) found in the egg yolk/whites. It would generally be found on the outer shell. However, any reputable egg supplier (in the USA) should be washing/treating to whole eggs to kill any Salmonella. You could also do this at home if you are concerned. There have been no reported occurences of the avian flu at monitored poultry farms. Again, reputable farms/suppliers have safeguards and testing in place.

ok first of all there is no protein in the yolk only in the white. And why not just get a product like muscle milk instead. It is safer and tastes delightful : )

Raw eggs are a great sorce of protein, you should get organic eggs or grain fed eggs. don't get the eggs that say cagged as they may carry more disease if your gonna eat it raw. If you were cooking it then it may be safe.I don't know if you can gain muscle mass with just ggs, you may have to add chicken and fish to that.

its not recomended to consume more than 5 eggs a week (yolks that is because they contain a lot of cholesterol). you can still get protein from egg whites, meat, fish and protein powder.

Of course. But the whites also have protein, and it may well be more palatable to cook the egg -- and no less nutritious.
