Your I-94 is your Arrival/Departure Record. It is NOT a visa. The type of visa determines whether or not you can work. Non-immigrants receive an I-94 form upon arrival and admission to the US. The date in the lower right corner tells you when you must leave the US.

All of that said, a gift is not taxable to you in most cases. If you received a LARGE gift from a non-resident alien you might be liable for the Gift Tax if the donor didn't file a US Gift Tax return and there is no tax treaty that addresses Gift Taxes between nationals or citizens of the two countries.

You are proper my pricey, MOST do pay taxes. And considering the fact that that's certainly one of their primary arguments and also you end up them wong they must uncover any other method to be anti-unlawful. So what do they do? They make up stuff approximately illegals. Anything that they are saying I take with a grain of salt. Don't pay attention to JConly...... I in no way do. He continually desires anybody to furnish data. But then he hardly ever offers evidence of the matters he declare. And whilst he does they're so made up.

This being a gift from your father, I would not think you would have to pay taxes on it. At least I do not think so anyway. I would check with an accountant to be sure though.
