humor it you and might gain credibility eventually but till then try and keep your head above water the common sense approach that appeals to human kindness and mutual respect sometimes goes a long way in bridging the gap between differences of ideology in human relations before common ground can be established.....good luck ...what if you were the catholic your mother the wicca and your friend the atheist would not you still have the same problem?
Do you eat the any of the same foods or share the same bathroom must be some common ground somewhere.

Our Religion and Faith is personal, a way of self-development and communing with the Divine. It should not involve anyone else....
Momma might be acting weird, but as long as she's not being mean, just let it slide. If she is... talk calmly and respectfully to her about how uncomfortable it is making you feel. I mean... a catholic with an atheist son... thats got to ring a few bells too non?

Well just do a little reading about the history of Catholics and witches. They really have never gotten along.

Date your witch and please her. Do nothing about your mom. Witches are hot because they worship an earth goddess and have no concept of inhibition. That, and they can heal plethera of physical, emotional and psychological issues. Even if it doesn't work out, you'll recieve a perspective you'll carry with you for the rest of your days. I married my witch and am very, very happy.

no comment. Christianity says not to date outside of it. that's probably why your mom is uncomfortable, plus the "witchcraft is evil" thing. then there's you being an atheist. probably not your mom's preference. then there's that traditional catholics and non-believers don't get along too well thing.
can't help you really. sorry. any advice I could possibly give right now would be taken the wrong way.

I can see you mom and your girlfriend eventually getting along. People who have a belief system tend have the same basic beliefs of right and wrong and good and bad. You, on the other hand, got nothin'.

A Catholic has been taught that witches are evil. You know that. They are not going to get along.

Take your mom out to lunch one day and explain to her that witch craft is not what she thinks, its not a big deal.
You should probably also kiss the girl. Thats usually a good thing to do.

If I were your mom I would have more of a problem with you than your witch.
