I think it should be ferox (using half of each, or the larger half if it is an odd number of letters).

i might might desire to declare the solutions I certainly have examine right here so some distance, properly, the smart ones, do make valid factors in that the English language isn't very forgiving with regard to spelling. How a word is spelled may be a some distance cry from how that's stated. because of the fact maximum human beings are "questioning" the word they're approximately to spell, they in many circumstances spell it how they "pay attention" it of their minds. How is that the word "OF" is asserted "UhV" yet spelled with an F? That the word KNIFE has a silent ok and what have you ever. because of the fact English accompanied a lot of its words from different languages, it lacks any written regulations of its very own. strategies you, sure there are written regulations, even however there are additionally many exceptions. I understand the question you ask lies in WHY human beings have ****-adverse spelling skills. might desire to be the above stated, might desire to be the learning equipment, or you may desire to blame MTV for introducing us to Jersey Shore. ingredient is, if English isn't your common language and you experience you have mastered it, then i might advise you're taking your wisdom and help those around you. i'm particular they might relish not finding like a dumbass whilst they spell words, too.

A Liger is a tiger crossed with a Lion but so is a Tigon. If you were to follow the 'naming rule' for these two same but different animals then you would have to come up with two names!! Want to know why? Because a Liger is a T/L whose mother is a Lion and a Tigon is a T/L whose mother is a Tiger. Mother-Fox, Father-Ferret, Offspring- Foxet or Forret ........Mother-Ferret, Father-Fox, Offsring- Ferrox
(I used double letters for Forret and Ferrox because a ferret has two rr)

If interbreeding tigers and lions create:
"ligers" = male lion + female tiger (tigress)
"tigons" = male tiger + female lion (lioness)
then:
male ferret + female fox (vixen) = ferfox/fefox/ferox/furovulpes*
male fox + female ferret = foxret/foxet/vulpefuro*
