I would like to gain about 15 or so pounds but i also need fiber in my diet (not high amounts but just a little) but i heard that fiber helps keep wieght off. Is that true? I also seem to have a fast metabolism because i never seem to gain or lose weight. I would also like to gain muscle weight not fat, so what should i eat and what are some excercises i could do? I know about protein, but what else is high in protein besides chicken and fish, and that's reasonable???

Everyone needs a small amount of fiber in the diet to aid digestive processes. It doesn't necessarily inhibit weight gain, however. Gaining muscle depends largely on weight-training exercises, such as weight lifting. My advice would be to sign up at a health club and get a personal trainer who will know which exercises will target the various parts of your body that you want to sculpt. Protein in the form of meat, eggs, cheese, dairy products, and legumes, such as beans and lentils, is very essential. However, you must also eat a balanced diet that also includes veggies and fruit. Stay away from junk food like chips, soda, pastries, french fries, cake, candy, pie, and fast food restaurants. These offer only empty carb calories and artery-clogging cholesterol. Good luck, and I hope you reach your goal.

Fiber will keep you full, but if you stick to eating every 2-3 hours, you'll be ok. I have a coworker who is set on gaining 30 pounds, and he's eating every 2 hours, starting out in the morning with a combination of carbs and protein, usually a whole wheat bagel with a vegetarian burger and an egg white omelet with a ton of vegetables, then before lunch he snacks on 1/2 of a whole wheat sub with turkey and vegetables and peanuts, for lunch he usually has some type of sushi, after lunch the other 1/2 of a foot long sub, then for dinner he has a protein shake, chicken, and vegetables. He's managed to gain about 12 pounds in a matter of two weeks, and he's working out at the gym everyday with weights, so he's looking very healthy. I think his end goal is 175, and he's currently at 160.

Sounds like you need to continue eating and get on a supplement program.
