I've heard the question "why are there atheists on Y! R&S?" 4 times on this forum so I decided Ya know what let's make it illegal for atheists to be R&S because they aren't religious and illegal for humans to go to the pets section because they aren't pets and illegal for people who aren't scientists to get on the science section.

Ah, I was hoping that this embarassing questiion wouldn't come up, but here it is and wanting an answer:
Well, I have been working with my horse, 3 dogs, 3 cats, one baby goat, and one minnow from the neighborhood creek who has been living in my house for 8 months. The horse has been around for 2 years, the cats for 3, the goat is a fosterling orphan.
I've been trying to teach them to type.
Alas, it is a slow progress:
The minnow usually disappears between the computer keys and has to be rescued - which also necessitates a keyboard replacement since the machine does not like the moisture.
Between the three dogs, the 'girls', a three-year-old Golden Retriever/Pitbull mix and a Black Lab, some hope shows as Moby, the blonde one, offers one paw then the other at command - great pre-training for the future typing lessons.
H.T. Stetson, the Heeler puppy, is more interested in chewing anything in his young jaw's reach, whether it be a hand, a leg, a piece of furniture, or a fellow dog. I haven't managed to get him interested in sitting still long enough to teach him the WYSIWYG system. Oh, Stetson's first initials stand for "Holy Terror', btw....
Either of the cats loves to stroll across the keyboard - but then I have the chore to correct spelling and grammatical errors...
Why do pets not post in the pets section? I think it is related to humans not representing themselves in court - or something like that....

You know, my iguana did, indeed, type once. Oh, sure; me being a realist, and all, I thought it looked like he just ran across the keyboard. Then I looked at the screen and read.
Well... I'm actually not sure what it said. He can type, but he's not much for spelling. I'd ask, but he's an iguana--and anyone who's seen a Geico commercial knows that it's geckos that talk.
So I guess I'll keep my Atheist butt in this seat, lurking the R&S section. And the Pets section. And even Women's Health, if I really want to. And whoever doesn't like it can...
Well, you could act like a Christian and "thumbs down" me.

I am really sorry to hear about your pets health. This is a very interesting question but I don't think that I could do that. There are animals in the shelters that unfortunately are put down if they are not adopted. I would hope they do research on these animals and not someones pet. Sorry, I really don't have a good answer for you. Do what you think is right. Good luck!

A little instructive yet humorous story ; John Doe died and found himself at the pearly gates greeted by St. peter who escorted him in and proceeded to give the standard tour . John first saw a group of people and asked who they were and St peter answered oh they are the Jews having a bar Mitzva . next he saw a bunch drinking beer and St peter once age in replied oh they are the catholics and they are getting drunk and having a good time . Next group and St peter said quiet ssssshooosh. the confused John doe ask why ? where St Peter replied they are the Christians and they think they are the only ones up here .... after the quiet subsided he came upon the a library of intellectuals and once again asked who are they at which St peter replied they are the atheists but nobody really wants them here.
