You need to go to a hairdresser and have it toned. This happened to me before and luckily my mom is a hairdresser. Toning it will bring it all to one neutral color that won't exactly be the blonde you want, but at least it won't be red with blonde roots. Toning is also less harmful to the hair than dying it so you won't have to worry about damaging it any further. Too bad the blonde didn't work out... next time you should have a professional do it. It's worth it.

I dyed a blonde streak in my hair and it all broke off and is all ratty, so yeah i wouldnt bleach it again. You can either cut it all off and wait for it to grow back. Or you could dye it chocolate brown which makes it look shinier and at least its not gross like it sounds now, and then just wait for the health to come ack. Do deep hair treatments once a week and never use straighteners or hair dryers and stuff.

You need to go to a specialist, they will see if your hair can handle being stripped and color put in. You may have to have your hair trimmed or just a little lighter shade of color put in than the roots for now. Definitely get someone's advice, that can look at your hair and let you know it's condition. But go to someone you trust, who isn't going to gouge you. You may want to respond by what area you are in so someone can give you a great recommendation, depends on how comfortable you are with revealing slight details. Good luck, I've done black before and it is horrible to get out. It will eventually though.

Anytime you want to go from really dark to blonde, please leave it to the professionals! You end up spending more $$$ and agony just trying to correct your mistakes. Call around to a good salon in your area and ask them what they would charge for a consultation- many places do consults for free. If you really want to fix it, go to the professionals.

Try wearing a thick headband and putting your hair in a bun so that it is hard to see your roots!

I suggest bleaching your hair, if you only bought blonde hair dye, that will only lighten your hair. Bleach will actullay make your hair blonde.

You should never dye your own hair! Go to a hair salon because they know how to do it professionally. You shouldn't dye your hair at all anyways, I mean it damages your hair and you should be happy with your hair color, but go to a hair salon to get it done professionally.
