My father in law had this problem. He had to go to the doctor and he prescribed him some medication to help with it. It can become a serious problem, so don't let it go. Up and to the doctor ASAP. Hope you are better soon.

If this is happening to you often, see a doctor. For a short-term solution, get a glass of water. Bend over at the waist and sip the water upside down. Take a few good-sized drinks and the unusual angle that you have to slurp the water will get rid of the hiccups. Good luck!

Have you used all the usual remedies? Holding your breath, drinking water etc.
I read about a girl who had sudden and frequent spells of hiccups and it turned out to be a medical problem.

I additionally had a bad case of the hiccups on the instant. thrice. swallowing a spoonful of sugar regularly clears them up real away. I have been given rid of them in the previous with the aid of mendacity down and in taking deep breaths and keeping them in for extra or less 20 seconds, or despite the fact that long you could, and then slowly exhaling. after doing that two times, they have been long gone. yet another technique is to get somebody to scare you, or watch a frightening action picture. or you're able to be able to desire to basically think of of something frightening, i've got executed that in the past. in the adventure that your hiccups persist for extra effective than 2 days, you're able to be able to desire to pass to a physician via fact it may desire to be a area of a extra severe subject. stable success.

Breathe in a paper bag like you are hyperventilating. Just when you think you are gonna pass out from lack of oxygen take a couple more breathes then remove the bag. There you have it no more hiccups!!

My father had them for 2 solid days before they discovered that if he ate a spoonful of sugar, or even a large cup of very sugared water, his hiccups went away. I swear by it now, too.

Drinking water upside down works well. You bend down and drink the water from the oppsite side of the glass. Hope this helps. Also you should go and see a Doctor.

Swallow a teaspoonful of dry sugar (this one ALWAYS works for me but heres some other suggestions incase it doesnt for you)
Repeated swallowing works for mild cases. Do this by holding your breath and repeatedly swallowing as fast as you can, or by slowly drinking down a beverage with as many swallows as is possible. It’s important that you hold your breath for as many gulps as you can. Placing a napkin over a glass of water can help moderate your speed.
Plug your nose and ears then swallow 20 times as fast as possible
Relax, sit still and breathe in deep, slow, rhythmic breaths expanding and contracting your lungs completely
Eat a tablespoon of peanut butter
