So i work with this girl and i used to like her and at the time my brothers gf told me that she likes me, but i was kinda with someone at the time. We almost never talk, just exchange "hi/bye" small words like that at work. Im shy sometimes and she is a little shy to i think, i see her talking to other people at work and then she never says anything to me. I want to talk to her but im shy around her or i just don't know what to say to her for somereason...i really want to ask her out but i don't know how to do it. should i talk to her more and get to know her before i ask her out or do you think that i could just straight up ask her out to a movie or something? and another question...ladies would you be fine going to pirates of the carribean 3 or would you rather see a different movie?

Simplicity works best in these situations. Something along the lines of, "Hey (whatever her name is), how are you doing?" Talk a little bit about life and what you have in common, and then say, "So I was wondering if you wanted to see a movie Friday night?" And ask her what movie she wants to see. Simplicity, direct questions, clarity - these work so much better than you would think.

Well, dating someone at work is not a good idea to start with,(It will get old and die) but sure u dont care about that. All you have to do is ask her out! yes, do invite her to the movies. pirates of the caribbean is a great movie. just make sure you ask her before wednesday if you want to take her on sat. she is a busy girl.....u dont want to ask her out later than wednesday cause she WILL have plans already. and u dont want her to feel she was last minute. do things right. if she already has plans then ask her again like on a monday for sat. make sure you pay and play dutch on her :) send her flowers 1-2 days after the date, so she knows ur thinking about her. women love that mushy stuff. anyways...good luck!

well maybe she is shy too, you never know until you meet her!! anyway, i think that you should ask her out!! and i will give you steps that might help you!!
step1. talk to her a little bit more and try to start a conversation.
step2.after talking to her try to get your brothers girlfriend to talk about you so you can learn a little bit about her and what she thinks of you!!
step3. (this step might help you build self- confedence and bring that shyness out of you. oh and you might want to slow these steps down, especially this one!!) next, ask her out for dinner every once and a while, until you get the hang of being around her(repeat step one several times)
step4. what ever you do, do not meet the parents!!
you can repeat the steps in any order that you like but do it in the order that i put it in first!! what i meat by "what ever you do, do not meet the parent!!" is dont do it until you are ready to, she asks if you would like to, or just dont do it!! it might save your life actully!!
oh and by the way watching a movie like that is not a good idea unless she is into that kind of stuff!

All sounds fine. But if you find, that you don't have the courage here is another solution. At work, organize a social gathering at one of your local pubs or a byo food and drink at a park.. Give the invites 1 or 2 weeks in advance and this is a good way to get her number and email also~ then, at the small gathering you created you will feel more relaxed to talk to her.. how is that for an idea?
I'm holding a party for my co-workers this weekend.. but it is not for that reason~ ha~ good luck ^.^/

pirates wasnt a good movie, to put it bluntly but it was very funny and so i do think it would be good movie. just aske her. say something like "are you doing anythin sat/fri or whenever and ask about pirates and say when you'll pick her up. the worst thing she can say is no. just be really nice and be yourself. if the same thing was happening to someone that wasnt you what would you tell them to do? think about it that way

OMG i went to c pirates with my crush and were dating now we went as a group so we could have an "outlet" if needed but we didnt need it at all!! we held hands the whole time ask her to tht movie. Just ask her i hope she says yes good luck!!

you should have a small conversation with her, just think of something to talk about before you approach her and then talk to her, when you are about done talking to her, and the conversation is going well just ask her out to a movie before walking away, and I would think if she did like you, then she wouldn't judge you based on the movie you choose. just nothing graphic lol.

That is a perfect movie, Funny with a bit of action!
Asking is hard but she'l love for it, girls like it when guy's do those kind of things, it makes them feel special!!

Talk to her - it might creep her out if you just randomly come up and ask her out.

take her to see something romantic or actually ask her what she wants to see and that its her choice.
tell her that she makes you happy and excited and just ask her
