There is no way to tell. Estimates range into the hundreds of thousands, by the time you count crusades, inquisitions, auto-da-fe, burnings at the stake, witch dunkings, and other atrocities. I am referring, of course, to the people that were slaughtered, not to souls -- which don't exist.
