Here's the reason he punishes sins....God, Allah, Jehovah, Ra (if you keep going back far enough they're all the same....try it sometime) is many things, including vengeful, fickle, genocidal (remember the flood and the Caananites?) and when it suits his purpose, or more likely when someone down here actually does something deserving, he's loving, kind and patient.
By the way, I do happen to believe in God, I happen to think the teachings of the historical Jesus had and continue to have much value today. I also believe that the church that has grown from the Pauline and the Nicene and the Constantine and Roman influences is full of lies, oppression, and corruption....and that includes any other faiths that were based on what stands as the New Testament.
Any religion that advocates the deaths of non-believers has got it wrong. So far, that list includes Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. Did I miss anyone?

Doesn't your Injing (gospel) say, "to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God—" John 1:12
Jesus said, "No one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaven— the Son of Man. Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the desert, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life. For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:13-16

And you say??? Who wrote the Quran? Can you speak the truth? Why do you have so many sects that believe so differently? Why do you say God (Allah) allows you to kill?
God (Allah) does not punish our sins, he gave his son to die for our sins. This is what we Christians believe. We are mortals, so are you. We bleed, you bleed....and the sands will turn red, is that not what you have preached.

If you are Islamic, you do not believe in Original sin which is genetic; The bond was broken between God and Adam and sin flourishes. A blood sacrifice must be paid, the Lamb of God paid it and restored the possibilty of being His children.
You believe in fatalism.

I'm with Qwerty on this one. I have a pretty highly tuned BS detector and it just went full scale at the word "nay". Then I saw the single quotes and it got a *little* better but then I noticed the rest of it was preach too so....blah blah blah.

"The Jews and the Christians say, 'We are the sons of God and His beloved ones.'? "
Really? Who told you that? I know an Imam. You don't have to listen to everything they say, dude. Because I haven't ever heard a Christian use those words. Not once.
But now that you bring it up; I am a son of God! And a beloved one!

Grace us God does NOT have plural Sons.
Only a Law Law God has pluralized "Sons".
Eg: James and John: the "sons" of thunder.
They notably moved the ten to indignation.
Grace us God doesn't law impute sin to anyone.
Only a Law Law God law imputes sin and death.
Grace us God is in "heaven": "higher than the heavens".
Law Law God is on "high", in plural & divided "heavens".
"Grace is sufficient" is constructive, not destructive.
"Law worketh wrath" is destructive, not constructive.
The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

Today the so called "Muslims" say the same thing without saying that they are sons of God, you should look inward to resolve your problems. Those statements in the Quran are meant to teach us not to be like the people of that past .......... but do we listen? and do we take heed???
What the so called "Muslims" of today are hearkening on themselves will show them how well they follow the Way of Abraham and how well have they kept the pure Book of God.

Do not look for any organized relgion's doctrine to be entirely
self-consistant.
That's not what religion is for.
Religion offers spiritual guidance, gives you a sense of community
and a common sense of purpose.
None of the big religions are entirely free of inconsistancies.

God gives us a choice of what kind of life we can lead. You can either live a life fulfilling your own will and desires, living a carnal life with death for the reward, or we can live our lives for Christ, letting Christ live through us, and doing the will of God, and fulfilling His will , living a spiritual life with eternal life as the reward. Our choice.
Jesus Christ - the One way into the kingdom of God.
