That's the bible for ya. When you have a thousand different men with a thousand different versions of half truths, there is going to be error.

1. God made the animals first.
Genesis 2:18 The LORD God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him."

19 Now the LORD God HAD FORMED out of the ground all the beasts of the field and all the birds of the air. He brought them to the man to see what he would name them; and whatever the man called each living creature, that was its name. 20 So the man gave names to all the livestock, the birds of the air and all the beasts of the field.

2. Judas - he could have hanged himself and then fallen off wherever he hanged himself from. These details weren't important enough to the writers of the Bible for them to include them - they don't change what happened.

Different authors of the Bible included different details, based on their intended audience. Different audiences would care about different aspects of the gospel. If something is omitted in one book and included in another, that's not an inconsistency.

I'm sure you don't tell all your stories the same way to different people - you'd tell your grandmother about your first date in a different way than you'd tell your best friend. You could be truthful in both instances, but you'd use different details. That wouldn't be inconsistent at all.

You see, people do what you just did pretty often, i am not going to answer every little thing. Part of this reason is that if you spent much time in a pro Christian commentary you would get more than half your questions answered. Some of what you wrote or copied are contsextual errors that you are leaning on, instead of looking at the verse (like Genesis 2) as having other possible meanings. You seem to be stuck on the meaning that you were told it meant.

The other things that you wrote or copied were because you are trying to understand it in English. The closer you look at the Bible, the more you need to get into the Greek and Hebrew of it. How can it differ so much? You'll see, just look.

Those are kind of tough ones, but Christians DO have explanations for them. They may not satisfy you, but they can explain them to their own satisfaction.

One explanation for the conflicting geneologies is that one is Joseph's and the other is Mary's.

As for Judas, after he hanged himself, the rope broke, so then he fell down and burst asunder.

The animals were created before Adam, but in the second account are mentioned as a flashback. Yeah, I know, that's NOT how it sounds. Some chalk it up to a peculiarity of Jewish idiom, or maybe a poor translation.

before everything, i'm sorry for what touch you have of course had with some hypocritical Christians. With that being stated, i'm a Christian and that i've got actually screwed up royally by using the years. Now, this likely would not take place, yet whilst it did and he incredibly excepted Christ as his savior and asked for forgiveness on his demise mattress, by the scriptures he may be stored, and particular the others might pass to Hell. even however, the Bible states that somebody who has rejected God for years, understanding she or he grow to be doing incorrect and did not prefer to grant that up for salvation, then she or he probably would not have faith truly and would not pass to Heaven. you notice you fairly can't be incredibly stored and do in spite of you prefer. God can provide us who're stored that if we do in spite of we want, understanding this is against his word, then we can be punished. have faith me when I say this, he does punish us for issues. As for our beacon of morality... the only people who do it fairly is the self-righteous hypocrites. easily, i won't anticipate you or anyone to stay in accordance to the scriptures in case you do not have faith them. Why might you? I certainly have a not elementary time doing this, so why might you place forth the attempt to achieve this once you're actually not a believer. I was hoping this helped and components a extra helpful view into actual Christianity fairly than the commercialized version it fairly is available. BTW, not each and every faith it fairly is under the "Christianity" call follows actual Christianity

I cannot explain minor inconsistencies that were put in writing such a long time ago, but I still believe in God: The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit. I have a picture on my wall of a wild bird sitting on a human hand. The picture says: Faith is not belief without proof, but trust without reservation. This kind of sums it up for me.

So does this: Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. In the end, three things will remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. (from 1 Corinthians 13)

The first two are difficult. and I've heard apologetics describing these. One lame attempt at describing the death of Judas was that he hanged himself, and later, fell and his bowels gushed out. That didn't convince me.

The lineage of Jesus has possibilities though, as it is possible in a number of families to trace a lineage to a single ancestor via multiple paths. I don't think that is a valid argument against scripture.

Genesis does show itself to be metaphor; those who try to hold to it as factual certainly haven't struggled with the two creation stories and most probably don't know that there is more than one.

I know Genesis was put together with two different sources. The earliest gospel was Mark, which was written about 40 years after the death of Christ. Matthew and Luke probably took some from Mark and added their own stuff. The Judas stuff, who knows, but we do know he killed himself.

No, I'm growing tired of the same old same old. These questions keep getting asked over and over and over. If you don't want to believe it, don't! Simple as that.
