Does it bother you that much of the stories of the bible are found in parallel Koranic texts (eg. the stories of Abraham, Noah, Moses and *JESUS*)?

Or do some prefer ignorance?

Obviously the notion bothers quite a few of them.

For the folks who talk about how the Quar'an is obviously false because it came after the Bible, perhaps you are forgetting that the OT came before the Bible. Therefore, by your logic, Judaism is the "true" version of God.

Different names for God don't bother me in the slightest.
Allah= "God" in Aramaic
Jehovah= a German mistranslation of "YHWH" with Jewish vowel points
Yaweh= the pronouciation of "YHWH", the tetragramatton given to Moses by God when Moses asked "What is your name?". It means "I AM"
God= English derivation of the German word "Gott", meaning deity.

As for pirated stories from the Old Testament being found in books like the Koran and the Book of Mormon...it bugs me, but it isn't my sin. Mohammed and Joseph Smith have already faced judgement for those things. It is common practice for liars to mix a little truth into their lies, to make the falsehood more palatable!

1) if you can't understand how we think, you'll never understand what we think. basically, who the Muslims worship is not God to us. anything worshipped apart from God is an idol. we believe Allah is just that, as he is hailed as God Almighty, but is nothing like ours. capice?

2) the stories are far different from what I've heard. according to the Qu'ran (from muslims on here) Abraham's son was instructed to kill him. in the Bible, it was the opposite. not usre about Noah or Moses. I'm pretty sure Jesus is not called "the Son of God" in the Qu'ran. am I right?

so does it bother you that Jesus is God and you don't worship Him? or do you prefer ignorance?

On the contrary...I embrace the diversity of everyone who believes in ONE GOD!!!!!!!!!! We are all God's Children and we believe what He wants us to believe. Not all people who call Him Allah believe that God wants them to kill people a vast group of Islamic people believe in peace and some even celebrate Christmas and have a belief in Christ also. There are extremists in every religion. Look at the people who call themselves Christians but instead of holding prayer vigils at Abortion Clinics like decent law abiding christians They bomb the clinic and murder or mame the people inside them. The importance is to remember that as a Christian I recognize my origin and that is from God. I am a follower of Christ who was a Jew and I love all of creation because God made it for me to marvel at and everyone who walks on this earth is my brother and sister because one God created us all no matter what we call Him. God Bless You!!!!!!!!!

Lies always bother us.
The Bible tells us that lying is a sin.
The Qur'an tells its followers that deceit is OK.

Allah is definitely NOT the same god as God.
Parallel stories? Muhammad copied them.
The fact that the Bible was written more than 500 years before Muhammad was born means nothing to you ? !
Dude, YOU need a reality check.

excuse me,
get your history right..

muhammed came to write the quran SIX HUNDRED years after the Bible was established.

he read the bible and took out things from the bible which he liked, and put those things into the quran.

the quran is a copy of the bible, gone wrong.

I know those names. And I know that Allah is the name in the Arabic Christian Bible. But what is not in the Arabic christian Bible or any other Christian Bible is Mohammed. No matter how it makes Muslims feel. Mohammed was a false prophet who taught how to worship the devil.

Why should it bother anyone? There is only ONE God, the same God in Islam, Christianity and Judaism.
