A guitarist will straighten his elbow and fullly extend his arm over his head, then swings his arm in a downward arc, strumming the strings then continuing the circle to the starting point. This can also be started with the arm pointing down and the strings strummed on the upstroke, but the downstroke is more common. Named after "Who" guitarist Pete Townsend.

In the first video, Pete does several windmills around time = 17 seconds.

Near the end of the second video, (around time = 3:42) Pete does some of his windmills. Unfortunately there are several editing cuts and they're a bit choppy.
