The lake of fire - woowoo!
Imagine a human who has already learned fear of fire by suffering the occasional accidental burn submerged in a LAKE of it! Oh, the AGONY! The SUFFERING!
Hey, try it out for yourself: light a match and hold it under your forearms until it sizzles your skin. You'll just have a SMIDGEON of experience of what it'll feel like to be in the lake of fire!
By now, anyone who has read thus far will have my attention. By now, anything else I say will be received with an altered consciousness, close to a hypnotic trance.
And, of course, that is exactly what the experts in mass-opinion forming (the Catholic Church) have done for centuries to sign up so many subscribers!
I think the lake of fire is simply the Pope having flicked his cigar into a large pool of stock-piled fuel oil.....

If you're referring to the lake of fire which was created for the devil and his fallen angels, God is not preparing dinner for you. I'm very sorry for everyone who rejects the truth and must find out the hard way. It will be too late to go back then. May I challenge you to read a book written by Lee Strobel (former atheist) entitled "The Case for Christ". I think that's the correct title, but alas, I'm not perfect.

What fishing line can support the heat of 212 F +? Also, would the trout be cooked as soon as you pulled it out? Seriously, these Lake of Fire questions make just as much sense as the fable it comes from.

LOL, I doubt it. The "lake of fire" is symbolic to many Christians which is a way of saying you'll be in spiritual agony when cut off from God forever.
