got alot of good ideas above but I think a good roasted corn would be good. What you do is get some corn on the cob remove the silk NOT the hush and soak in water for about an hour. You can do this all in bulk btw. Get red and green peppers and onions. Throw all the stuff on the grill. Once all is done small dice the onions and the peppers. Toss the peppers into ziploc to steam em to remove the skin before cutting. Remove the husk and cut the corn off the cob mix all together.

Pulled Pork Roast on the grill, awesome!
We make this all the time and it is SO tender.
Buy a pork butt or shoulder roast.
(A large one)
Rinse it with water, put in large pan and make a few slits all over it and put a garlic clove inside them. (about 6 would do)
Then cover it on all sides with Worchestershire Sauce and minced garlic, onion powder, seasoned salt, black pepper, a little bit of cajun spice (if you have it).
Then brown roast on all sides til crispy, on the grill. Then use 2 layers of heavy duty aluminum foil and wrap the roast VERY well with no openings for it to drip.
Now put all the charcoal coals to one side of the grill and place the roast on the side without the charcoal. Now close the lid and let it smoke for about 2-3 hours turning occasionally. You will have the most tender, best taking pork roast you have ever tasted. It is great as pulled pork or just pulled apart, served with rolls, baked beans, corn on the cob, cole slaw and a dessert. Pretty easy!
Enjoy a beer while you are waiting for it to cook!
My hubby makes this all the time and I guarantee you will be happy with the outcome.
good luck with your party

I was in an Amish meat market when two men came in and were discussing grilling out. One was saying he had a beef brisket ground and used it to make burgers from. I gave it a try but ground my own at home adding seasoning. OH MY GOSH talk about delicious. I rinsed the brisket off and them patted it dry. I cut it into chunks then using my food processor ground it. I then added some seasonings. This last time I added the seasoning prior to grinding it. I suggest giving it a try. cauliflower salad is a favorite at all of our cookouts, potato or macaroni salad. Hot dogs, burgers, kielbasa. I make mini kabobs with a toothpick. Buy a nice big round steak cut it up in little pieces and I add green and red peppers, their really tasty and not to expensive. If your having a lot of people we dont spend lots of money on pop. We made big things of tea and lemonade. For the deserts you can make a memorial day cake, but the square shaped angel food cake, coolwhip, vanilla pudding, strawberries and blueberries. Cut cake in half and layer with pudding/coolwhip (mixed together) layer with fruit. Then ice whole cake with remaining whip and make a flag with the blueberries and strawberries. Dirt desert is a favorite. Hope this helps

bbq ribs....except don't do it the tradional way... boiling them in garlic, salt and pepper (Until tender) and almost ready to fall off the bone...marinate them in soysauce and lemon juice...the longer the better...and then throw them on the bbq. They are the best. May not sound great...but I swear you'll love them. you may want to make half with regular old bbq sauce for the people who don't like to try something new. I serve them with pasta salad, potato salad, fresh fruit salad or fresh fruit cut up with my fruit dip...which is softened cream cheese and marshmellow whip...creme together. Banana and strawberries are the best with the dip. Good luck and have fun...
