I know a few people in the mid-60s who are happy drinkers of beer and wine from the afternoon to evening. Drinking moderately almost every day is more of an appreciation thing to do but they are never inebriated. They used to be relaxed and happy after a drink or two but recently I've noticed they become hostile and irritable. Is it the alcohol that's affecting them?

In my perspective I believe it does. Because as you grow older and you drink your liver becomes more defective. And it may cause serious liver problems such as liver deices.

I would say yes, as one grows older our metabalism,s slow down, and that makes it harder to get the alcohol out of ones system faster., as when younger.
