New age, different rules! Women used to wait for the man to be a "man" & step up - do the pursuing... Now days, it's a whole different set of rules it seems... Who should call? If the interest is there for both parties, does it matter? I feel a little strange calling a guy just to say Hi!

I think if you want to chat to someone, CALL THEM. There's a cell phone commercial of a guy calling a girl he just had a date w/ the night before, with the beginning phrase, 'I know it's not the 2 day rule to call but...' I would be more impressed if I had a good date, for the man to call me the next day. Why would a guy want to wait? If you didn't call, I would think that you were not interested, and I can put my energy elsewhere. So, move or loose it. WE, us girls, don't have time to wait for you! :)

well once you've established a relationship it's okay for the girl to call, but remember guys do like chasing after girls.. it's just a little to easy when you put yourself out there with no fight.. so just keep that in mind..
when it comes to dating a guy.. I say 50/50.. or it depends on whoever has a busy schedule.. of he's always busy and you don't know when he's home or at work.. then you ask him to call you when he has time.. or visa versa.

Of course. It's not any specific person's duty to engage in conversation first. That rule is a stereotype that all men should be masculine taking the first step.

The guy I am dating likes it when I call him. When we first started talking he would call but then he would also tell me that he likes it when I call him. Think about it...when a guy calls you feel special right? Well they like the attention too! Go for it!

I am the only one who will say this probably-but no, I never called men, not even my fiance over 23 yrs. ago--[now my husband for many years] I just do not call men. That's just me. I have no regrets about that. No big thing- if they wanted to call me they could call anytime. So- be yourself.
