Your individual right to cover up is dictated by the Qur'an.
The chador is merely one way that Islamic women are oppressed to control them, because Muhammad says that women are stupid (his words, not mine).
It is recorded in the words of Allah:

I think that they say that it is oppression because the majority of women who wear it do so out of fear. They either fear that they will be judged as less than pious if they don't wear it, they fear that they will shame their families, they fear their governments will arrest them, they fear that they will dishonor their families' traditions, they fear that men will rape them if they do not wear it. They fear GOD will punish them. If something is done out of fear it is oppression.
On the other hand, if they don't FEAR all the above then maybe they wear it out of arrogance, that they are so beautiful that a man will not be able to control himself if he sees her hair or her arm.

They say this because they will never be happy with you until you become an unbeliever just like them. Stay strong! Wear your hijab with pride!
Muhajaba women are beautiful!

That's not what we say, what we say is there is no reason to sneer at those who do not wear it. There is no reason to say women who don't wear it are 'uncovered meat'.
