Please don't try to get these cats to mate. Keep them apart while she's in heat, then have her spayed and him neutered. There are already heartbreaking numbers of unwanted kittens who will be euthanized in shelters because there are not enough homes for them. If you want kittens, go to your local shelter and adopt some, please. Then you can feel good about yourself as a responsible pet owner because you have saved your new kittens from death. Also, being spayed, your female will live a longer and better life with a far lower risk of uterine cancer and no risk of birthing complications, and your male, after he is neutered, will be a gentler and more loving pet because he will not have the male sex hormones that make male cats roam, get into fights, and mark their living areas with urine.

Adult cats who have not been neutered/spayed develop many obnoxious habits as well as health problems, and there is no way to make them stop these behaviors because they are driven by sex hormones.

just give her time and they usally breed right at the end of the heat cycle.
make sure that she has not been spayed and he not been nutered
she may also be to young or to old, if not cats are just a little more selective then dogs and other animals so just be patient.
good luck!
but beware they can have up to 9 kittens at a time are you ready for that kind of resposiblity?
there are so many shelters full to the brim with unwanted cats and kittens make sure that if you get your wish you have good homes for them that wont abandon them when times get tough.please do more research on this overwhelming problem before making more kitten babies. and if you really want kitten babies then go to a shelter and adopt some!

Spay and neuter your pets, and if you want a litter of kittens, go to the shelter and adopt some that would otherwise be killed because of stupid people breeding when they don't know what they're doing.

You've already asked about a brother cat getting his sister pregnant. Quit being part of the problem and get all of your animals fixed.

Do you know that they euthanize approximately 200 cats a month in each city, each month. It is not really a good idea to bring more cats into this world. Look at Petfinders.com and see for yourself. Or the thousands of rescue organization trying to find homes for unwanted cats.
I am not trying to be mean but it is really not a responsible choice. Spay and Neuter your cats it will make them so much happier. There are thousands of people trying to educate people not to do this.

Why on earth do you want her to have kittens? What are you going to do with a house full of possibly 6-7 kittens for 8 weeks? There are too many kittens already unwanted.

He might be nervous if theres people around. Try to leave them alone a little. Don't let her out, because all the male cats will come running. Do they have a good relationship? Just give some privacy i'm sure its because hes nervous that there are people. Hes going to have to find somewhere he feels comfortable.

You be responsible and don't bring more cats into the world unless you are prepared to look after all of them including vet care for the rest of their lives. Rather get some more at the SPCA or Humane Society, it'a a far better idea.

Separate your cats, get your male cat neutered, and your female cat spayed. If you want kittens then go to the shelter, where millions of adorable kittens are euthanized (put to death) every year because there aren't enough homes available.

The city where I live puts 50,000 unwanted animals to death every year...and that's just ONE medium-sized city.

Why do you want kittens? Do you think you will make money from them? (There are millions of kittens around now without homes that will be euthenized because not enough people want another cat. Kittens cost money with shots and such.). Do you think she will make a better pet? ( not true, either for the males of females; they will be healthier and friendly fixed.) Do you think it is cute? (Cats dies having kittens and because of problems afterwards.Kittens are a lot of work.they are messy and loud.)

Please be a responsible pet owner and have your animals fixed!!!!)

You should go to your local animal control, tell them you want your cats to mate, and then ask them to show you all the cats that will be killed today because people didn't get their cats spayed/neutered. Then go home, separate your cats, and call their vet to schedule their surgery.
