i act so heartless and unemotional, yet i daydream about a man that will love me the way i want and need to be loved. im pretty sure it doesnt exist, but i absolutely am so sick of settling for less. Im pretty sure im in conflict with my age. im 17 and i NEED more than what guys my age can give me...am i sick and twisted?

No, just be patient and good things will come to you. Your still so very young and girls mature faster than boys. So when you turn 18 look to date guys that are a bit older or however older you wish. You shouldn't have to settle for less, so don't.

i think you are very normal -- dont accept less than a high standard -- it will make the guys lift their game --- and while there seem to be a number of ladies looking for a more mature male the males will not (unless they are perverted) be looking for a lady as young as yourself ---- wait a few years and the more mature guys will or maybe interested --- the problem is it takes us guys so long to mature --- im just hitting my stride and im 54

no.. just give it time.. you'll find a guy.. sometimes people get into ruts and they just stop caring because life has been nothing but crap.. but it will get better.. don't worry.. you don't want to settle for less, and thats the way it should be.. just dont' be to closed minded or you won't find the guy you're looking for.

I agree with lilchikka2005. Its normal for girls to be attracted to older guys, considering how fast we mature....but check your attitude, you will miss out on a good guy with a bad attitude...
