Define "really good."
Great food? What kind of food? Great atmosphere, too?
Head to restaurantthing.com and ottawafoodies.com, and check out the top-rated ones on each, for a start.

There's an excellent restaurant just across the river in Hull, called Henri Berger. It's a French restaurant with very romantic ambiance.
Enjoy!

I had a really great Saturday Brunch at the Empire Grill in the market with my best friend last week. The white and red sangrias were a bonus. The food... out of this world!

Vitoria Tratorria - Absolutely amazing italian food and really quaint atmosphere. It's in the market area, and they make a tortellini in gorgenzola sauce with red grapes that is a must!

"The Works"
580 Bank Street, Ottawa
Their speciality: hamburgers: 4 choices of meat, different types of buns, & 1000 choices of topings. It's worth it to go there once & spend *a while* reading the whole menu. And then going back to try different burgers!
& try their onion ring tower with 2 choices of sauce: one word: awesome!
The ambiance is incredible too!

What's your price range?
Currently, one of our favourites is the Tuscan Grill in Barrhaven. It would run you about $75.00 per person, including wine. Their grilled meat is better than their pasta.
We also like Pho Maxim on Merivale. It's much less expensive. On Bank, we like Colonnade Pizza (which has lots of Italian choices), as well as Mr. B's (which is also Italian).
