Jesus said"if you believe in God believe also in me". Jesus did not say he was God but the Son of God. He had all the attributes of God, that is why he said"when you see me you have seen the Father"" I and the Father are one.
The scripture teaches this,"God in Christ reconciling the world back to Himself" 1Cor.chapter 10

Dear Dakina 1,
Jesus is God-with-us.
There is a wonderful chart at http://www.soulright.com
It is called One Truth Exposes a Thousand Lies - Traits Shared Between Jehovah and Jesus
Someone who read the chart said "I'd say that's a suspiciously high number of qualities that Jehovah and Jesus share. And since Jehovah God will not share His glory with anyone (Isaiah 42:8) it seems odd that the two have the same charactristics through and through!
For His glory,

To sum all your doubts against God's plan, here a Scripture to show Jesus and Yahweh (BECAUSE GOD IS AN "ATTRIBUTE" NOT EXACTLY A NAME) are ONE.
1st John 5 : Verse 7
For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these THREE are ONE.
No more debates. End of Story.

Its difficult to talk Logic to Christians. The Bible can be thrown out of any court of law in the world when one shows the inconsistencies in it. Of course the Christians will say the Bible is used to take oath in every court. But that is done on a Religous Tolerance act and Not out of Universal Faith !
They also always cite John 1:1. That is John's word not Jesus'! Jesus didn't say that ! "I and the father are one: if you have seen me, you have seen the father", does this mean Jesus is also God? Why cant we inteprete it as, Jesus and God are with the same purpose and if one lives the way Jesus lives, he will reach God in the end. Why cant we see it this way? Why Christians CHOOSE to inteprete certain verses literally and some not? Who gave that authority?
Its ok for Christians to pick a verse or two to prove their point, but, if we do that, then its wrong, out of context, we have to read the whole passage etc.
CRAP isn't it !

God wrote the Commandments. Jesus is God. Jesus wasn't "coming". He was with the Father from all eternity, just as the Bible tells us. Jesus spent His entire public life on earth doing things only God could do. He demonstrated that He had authority over life, death, disease, physical and natural laws, and sin.

John 1:1 In the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God.
Also John 14:5.
Jesus accepted worship because He was due to be worshiped. "I and the Father are one". If you have seen me, you have also seen the Father.

Jesus even tells you to pray to the Father and not to Him. He gave the Lord's Prayer as an example of how to pray.

And his father to him. The coming of Jesus was far into the future for the struggling Israeli families, just as the second coming of Christ is to us. I think God may have known that just getting them to unify under the one God was enough for them. I think everything happened as it should have.

Because Christians don't know how to do math. They think 3 equals 1. This has got to be the biggest slap in the face to God the creator of them all. Putting some human named Jesus ahead of God. Why not put Socrates, Buddha, Confusious and whomever else should qualify as part of God?
