Let her know that every girl goes through it.
I can't do much for the symptoms but for the not liking bras as long as they don't get too big she can wear a tank top with a shelf bra in it. And if not make it fun for her and take her out shopping just you and her for bras. Make a day out of it, lunch shopping and a movie at the end. Thats what my mom did.

She is probably crying because her hormones are bouncing all over the place!
Explain to her they emotional feelings everyone gets during puberty, as well as the physical ones. Boys just express it differently [ like punching walls or yelling at the dog ].
Buy her some sports bras for now, they have enough stretch to see her through a few sizes. Then, she may have a different perspective and want some pretty bras.
Plus, junior high she will have to change clothes for PE. It's hell to be the last one in your class who needs a bra! All her friends will soon be in the puberty club, as well - so she can talk to them.
Tell her to do situps every day, as this seems to help with cramping/bloating.
Drinking about 1/2 gallon of water also helps your body excrete excess fluid. Offer her Tylenol or Motrin on bad days, and be sure she has an emergency supply in the school clinic.
Make sure she eats a quality diet, especially right before her period - when many get PMS cravings [ chips, chocolate, etc.]
Give her a quality multivitamin with minerals every day - sometimes a little bit of one helps a lot.
Also, have her keep a stash of supplies, as well as spare underpants and a pair of dark gray or black slacks in her locker. [ I volounteer in the high school clinic, and there are messy surprises all thru high school for some. ]
Have her keep roll-on deodorant in her PE locker
[ if she has spray, everyone will ask to borrow it ].

Buy her the book "Our Bodies Ourselves" and "Changing Bodies, Changing Lives: A Book for Teens on Sex and Relationships" it will tell her everything she needs to know(you may want to edit some of it until she's older depending on what you've told her already)....it's pretty much a teen guide book to life with diagrams and pictures. my mom got it for me when I was young. It also good for boys too. I was glad to know that boys go through the same changes but in different ways. I wasn't alone! My friends would come over and we would read it together, if I remember correctly it even has stories from other kids.
she might like wearing tank tops with the built in bras or sports bras...there more like a bathing suit
good luck!

Go down to the local book store and buy her a book about puberty for girls.
They explain everything in a comfortable way that young girls can easily understand.
That way she can read it on her own and if she has any questions beyond the book she can ask you.
That is what those books are written for so you may as well take advantage of it.

Go to web md and pull up the info on puberty and show it to her. Make sure she knows what happens during puberty and that she can come to you anytime and talk to you about this. If she does come to you don't go into an hour long discussion about it just answer the question till she stops wondering and then stop talking about it if every time she comes to you and talks to you and you spend 2 hrs each time talking to her she will shut you out

Inform her about what a period is. (the shedding of the membrame because egg is not fertilized...)
Constantly tell her this is all normal.
Puberty should be looked at with a positive view maybe, because it is part of growing up, being indipendant.

Hope this helps and best wishes for you and your daughter

it fairly is very elementary in young little ones. What i might do is make her be completely self sustaining. If she trashes her room or throws towels on the floor or is going to college a multitude, then she would be able to might desire to learn the not elementary way. If she is embarrassed whilst her chum comes over and her room is a pig sty, tell her that it is not your subject.

She's just going to have to get over it. I was 10 when I first got my period. I was the first one in my grade. I had C's by the time i reached 6th grade. It was very overwhelming. I felt very out of place. Guys always looked at my differently. And I always caught them trying to touch my boobs and staring at them and talking with their friends about them. You just learn to get over it. We are all women and we all have to deal with it.

try explaining to her that she is not alone and that LITERALLY every single women and everyone of her ffriends will get it mostlikely soon as well. try not to gross her out with too much details on what a period is to freak her out...but def. give her the generals. getting older isnt such a bad thing! try to get her to understand that! once she feels less freaked out and starts getting used to everything she should be ok! good luck! : )
