Show him the history log. If you click on the arrow to the right of the drop down box where you type in the address it will show all internet addresses that have been typed in since the last time it was cleared.

If the computer's running slow you may want to clear out old history and temporary internet files by going to Control Panel then Internet Options then under the General tab in the section for Browsing History click on Delete then delete everything in the pop-up box. That's if you have Windows XP. You probably have a ton of stuff stored there that you don't need. Once you clear it all out, your computer should run faster. Before deleting everything though, show your Dad the history so he can see there's no porn there except what he's been looking at.

As for why he assumes that, you're a teenage boy. He probably looked at porn when he was a teenage boy. It's a natural thing to do. Don't worry about that part. Just show him how smart you are that you can make the computer run faster. He'll forget all about the porn and then you can get back to your magazines. LOL

Maybe if you can fix the computer's slowness and explain to your dad what the real problem was, he'll be convinced.

There are a few common reasons a computer may be slow:

-You're trying to run too many programs at once. Try shutting down any file sharing programs, messengers, or other things that run in the background. Also, take a look at what starts when the computer starts up and remove stuff you don't always use from that list.

-Adware and spyware. Get programs like AdAware or Spybot and check your system for adware and spyware regularly. Since the authors of adware and spyware know you won't necessarily be keen about them being there, they tend to hide it on your computer.

-Your computer is old and not designed to handle the operating system, software, or web pages that it's being used with now. Add RAM or buy a new computer if this is the case.

-You have a virus on your computer. Run a virus checker and keep your virus definitions current.

-If it's just internet browsing that's slow, you might want to try clearing your browser's cache and cookies.

Alternately, you could ask your dad to just put on some parental control software to block porn sites and put an end to this argument. You can't have been looking at porn if all the sites are blocked, right?

It's not only porn that slows down a computer. It is all the sites that are a little sketchy. Maybe it's your Dad, does he play poker online? those sites always download crap. So do most of the sites kids go to like funnyjunk.com and all the places you go to get cheat codes for gaming. The question is this, do you have the proper Spyware,Virus protection, key logger and all the other stuff out there to keep out all the bad stuff. If not you must have it. If you do make sure it is always on and working. Secondly do you regularly delete your temporary Internet files and cookies. You also may need to run defrag on your disk. If you or your dad don't know how to do those things just ask someone.

I have 2 grown good kids and taught school for 20 years. When kids are teens they rebel in all kinds of ways against their parents to assert their coming of age. I may be just a look or a snarl or anything> So now you are not that sweet little adoring child, and they don't know exactly what you will and will not do, and most teens have done things that have caused their parents to lose some trust in the teen. Losing trust is a very very hard thing to replace, ask someone whose spouse had an affair ??????????? If your parents treated you like you have treated them when you have been a teen would you trust them? you see parents are supposed to remain tride and true while the teens are rebelling and then the teens wonder why they aren't trusted.Did you earn their lack of trust ? Be honest with yourself, did you lie to them ? And sometimes it is only because this ugly old world grows more wicked and wicked faster and faster and they love you and know that there are so many things out there just luring you towards bad stuff. It is a very very normal parent reaction and if you haven't done anything to cause them to distrust you I'd suggest you be honest and open with them at all times even if it is bad news, because they will learn to trust you.

maybe your dad is the one looking at porn and he's feeling ashamed at himself not that there's anything to be ashamed of. sometimes it's easier to blame someone for something than to actually find out what the problem is. your computer is running slow so why don't you try and work out the problem yourself and that would be a little step for you to show him that it's not the porn that may not even be on there. ask your dad if you can have a chat with him about him blaming you just let him know it hurts you when he blames you for stuff you haven't even do and that all he has to do is ask and you will tell him. hope this will help

My Dad assumed his computer was running slow because I downloaded AIM. Tell him to put a block on porn sites if he's really that worried about it. You could also show him the browser history but he may not believe you because a computer's history can be deleted.

Don't worry, my parents do the same thing (except they think it's cause all of the im's a downloaded) parents are just finding excuses for problems they don't know the solutions to. If he seriously thinks your looking at porn then tell him to put a block on those sites. But just ignore him blaming you, it's an old people thing

Well parents blame their kids for almost everything. That's because they expect their kids to mess up.If your computer is a little old or old or really old tell him,the computer is slow because of the time we have had this computer.Tell him all the websites you go on.If you go on the computer alot, then tell him its because of that.Anyway why would you be looking at porn? What made him think that?Ask him those questions. Also move your computer to a place he can see and make sure you are not looking at porn.

Show him your an old schooler by showing him your porn mags :). He is a guy and he assumes your a guy. You have hormones and stuff. Also he thinks you probally think like him at that age :P.

Dont worry about it too much, as long as he doesnt tell the world (more importantly any chicks you have around) you should be fine

Download some anti-virus, like Ad-Aware, or Norton, which are both free. Your computer will run much faster, and I actually got a "Worm" from too much porn... and uhh... Limewire... but yeah it speeds it up and removes lots of viruses.
