Okay so there's this guy I really really like and were friends and I've liked him for a year and he knows it, but he's all awkward around girls cause he's never had a girlfriend. Is there any way I can get him to open up? If so how? He's so awkard he wont even give away his number! He often gets nervous when I'm around him and messes up on things. He did give me a big hug for the first time though. Oh and were out of school now.

Create an atmosphere where he couldnt possibly be embarresed in. Show him that you are human also, and that you make human mistakes the same as him. This will make him more confortable to open up if he feels you to be more human (works similar to that advice they give about pretending everyone in the croud is naked when giving speaches).

He will never open up until you do. You might have to give him some assistance. Try to ask him personal questions and do it often and tell him personal about yourself. As time goes on, he will feel comfortable with talking and opening up. If he doesn't after sometime. Forget it. It's hopeless.

girl, i know exactly how you feel. in my case, there wasn't anything that would open him up unless he had the support of his friends or my friends. most of the time that didn't happen, so he never really DID open up. so my best advice is to get his friends or your friends to encourage him to open up. and also, try talking to him more. make him comfortable around you and he'll be sure to open up!!

he really likes you so tell him that you notice that and then try to go do things together as friends at first and later move on to dating and such. this coming from someone who also has the same problems.

just be a really good friend, and wait. be sexy and flirt a little bit, but not too much (you don't wanna make him nervous) invite him to go places with you. wait, it will happen.
