I wear clothes made in India a lot of times. I don't wear saris, but sometimes I wear salwar kameez (a long shirt to the ankles, with pants under it). But mostly I just wear semi-westernized Indian clothes, like long shirts (to mid-thighs) with embroidery or sparkles on them.

Is that a turn-off?

Would you ask out a woman wearing such clothes?

I'm sorry - salwar kameez is not to the ankles - it's to mid-shin. Sorry.

I mispoke, but anyway, it's kind of like my avatar.

I wear Indian clothes a lot myself, usually blouses or skirts. (I think I look like I'm wearing a costume if I do a whole outfit.) And I don't think that turns anyone off. I feel really pretty and feminine in those clothes; I love things that flow. My physical and emotional comfort will come out. If you feel comfortable, and I think you would if you base avatars on those outfits, that will come out in you and help you, too.

Another good thing is if it turns off a guy, and you don't intend to stop wearing those clothes or pursuing your interests, then you've had some pre-screening done for you and saved some time and heartbreak!

Unless what you wear is completely unattractive, it really doesn't matter.
