I saw an interview with Gretchen Wilson and she says she has never been asked out. I have never really been asked out either, and I assumed it was because I'm overweight and wear glasses. Do guys just not ask women out anymore? What's the deal?

Looks don't matter.I've been following ur Qs. & As. for a long time & I think u're a great person.If a guy doesn't want to go out with u for u wear glasses won't be even worth it.U don't want to be in the company of a dimwitted,shallow git.
When ur Mr. Right will come he'll love the person u r & will love u whether overweight or slim.
And u & Gretchen Wilson are two different people.There may be various reasons behind her never being asked out.....
Don't rush to conclusions,..... just wait & watch.

Your weight has nothing to do with the fact that a guy won't ask you out. It is just that you haven't met the right guy as of yet. Don't give up hope...It takes time. Besides yourself and Gretchen Wilson are two different people. So it doesn't mean anything if she has never been asked out--it has nothing to do with you.

I'm overweight, wear glasses, have a wedding ring, and still get asked out by both men and women on a fairly regular basis. Believe me, appearance has nothing to do with it. I'll bet Gretchen Wilson intimidates men--she seems like a pretty wild ride. And you...well, I know you're smart as all get out. Maybe it's best not to wait around to be asked! :-)

Gretchen Wilson is not the role model for you. I dont know her but any woman that sings and makes her money talking about being "all Jacked up" isnt someone I would base my future on.
I am a fat guy with glasses and Im bald. I am married with three wonderfull children.
Im sure things arent as bleek as you may think. What I know about boys and men is when it comes to women we are impossible. We are shy. The more we like you the more we ignore you. I know its crazy. It has to do with the fear of having our egos crushed. Trust me, if you like a boy talk to him. Nothing says you have to get married by saying hello. Im of the old school, I think boys should do the asking out and the calling and asking daddy if they care if they call on their daughters, but if you like him, for cring out loud at least speak to him. Who knows your prince charming may just be a "hello" away.
Dont get in a big hurry, If you want someone really speacial you must be patient.

Being overweight and wearing glasses is why most guys won't ask you out.
Gretchen Wilson isn't exactly a stunner either, but when you're rich and famous, you can really make yourself look better.

some guys would find you beautiful, some wouldn't. it's all about being yourself and enjoying what you love doing. trust me, the right guy will come at the right time....i haven't been asked out once either, but hey, i still believe that guy is out there somewhere for me.

no, its just tht ththt one special person isnt in ur life yet. dont rush, the perfect person will come into ur life and u wont have to worry about being asked out. but if someone likes u and u like them, dont feel like u cant go and ask them out.
so just chill and wait

guys are weird and stupid, well most of them. You just gotta find the right guy. Always act confident and sure of yourself, and you can never go wrong with being just yourself. dont change
