Depending on the context, it could mean much more than simply using quotation marks correctly and giving credit to the source. If the context is how to fit a quotation into an essay, then "framing" also includes how you introduce the quote and how you weave it into your own writing.

I'll give a couple of simple, silly examples off the top of my head.

You could write:

"I like flowers. John Doe wrote, 'I especially like tulips.'"

That's an example of very little framing. The quote is not well woven into your own writing. Here's another way to do it:

"I like flowers. Some of my favorites are roses and lilies. John Doe was also a lover of flowers. He once wrote 'I especially like tulips.' Tulips aren't my favorite, but I can appreciate his sentiment."

That's an example of more complete framing. It weaves the quote into your own ideas.

I hope this helps.

I believe it means putting quotation marks around the quote and crediting the person that said it.

I want to access my harddrive?
With my old computer (which now does not work) i had 2 harddrives. 1 had Windows XP and a partition with all my storage. 2 had Linux on it.

When i installed Linux, a GRUB menu was set up with load options when i turn on my computer.

The Linux drive is not that important to me right now. When i try to load the Windows drive by itself, it fails to load Grub menu.

How can I access drive?

(When i do both of them pluged in together, it shows me the menu, but when I select the Windows, it does not load, just stays at one screen)

I would also appreciate if I could contact you again if I have a question (most probably I will).

The quote itself is bracketed with " marks and the source and author in italics.
