I would suggest that you write them a letter explaining how important your kitty is to you. Just write something like you did here, it's quite obvious to me that this cat is extremely special to you! And I know what it's like to feel like your cat is the only one that "gets" you :).
Next I would suggest trying to outline how you plan to help this cat. Is it possible for you to earn some money either with a paper route or a babysitting job? Perhaps you could "give up" your allowance? If you show your parents that you have a plan for helping to keep this cat, it might encourage them to want to keep him/her. Also, be sure to take the initiative around the house with your cat's everyday care, like cleaning the litterbox and giving him food/water.
Also, sometimes parents say stuff like that when they're frustrated, but don't really mean it. My old kitty had problems where she would throw up around the house, and sometimes my dad would say that we should just get rid of her. When she died, however, my dad actually teared up telling me. He really was a big softie for her and you'd never know it!
I really wish you the best of luck with your cat. I'm sure that if you take a rational approach to helping find some kind of solution for your kitty that your parents might also follow suite.

Hi! I'm sorry about your cat.... have you taken it to the vet? When a cat starts peeing all over it's usually a sign that something is wrong with it. It could be something as easy as an infection - a few days of pills and the cat might be fine.
Sometimes cats will do that if they are upset or nervous or angry about something (one of ours did this for a while when we had a new baby in the house - he was jealous). If something has changed that bothers the cat that could be it, too.
Ask your mom to please take your cat to the vet -- the LAST thing any parent wants (usually especially the mom) is to make their child sad by getting rid of their pet..... but it's really hard to have to clean up the cat pee all the time, too.
Good luck with your cat! (and don't worry about lying about your age - my son did the same thing so he could ask video game questions!).

You might get in trouble for falsifying your age...if you're saying your age on here you should probably go with whatever age you put down..or 13...but anyway that's not the issue.
Ask them to take the cat to the vet. He deserves that much at least. The vet may be able to tell you what's wrong - cats can easily get urinary diseases, and there is medicine to fix it. If they can't afford it then I'm sorry honey but you're going to have to let your kitty go - but PLEASE try not to let them just throw him out. Try to find a no-kill shelter. Tell them how likely it is that he'd be injured or killed out on his own because he doesn't have "street sense" if he's lived in a home most of his life. Suggest taking him to a shelter if you have to but definitely try and talk them into taking him to a vet. Also if you have a friend who could afford the cat that's an option. Best of luck to you!

There is a possibility that your cat needs to have a visit to the vet if he is not neutered that could be the cause of the problem but usually this is something that would have started much sooner then now. He may have a Urinary tract infection that needs treating, or something has changed in his environment that is causing the problem. I always think if a person is willing to adopt a pet they should be willing to care for it when it is sick which is probably the situation right now. hopefully the vet can treat whatever is causing the problem otherwise i'd suggest sending him off to a farm where he can be outdoors and cause less of irritation for new owners...

Have you taken the cat to the vet to see what the problem is? It could be something serious but it could also be treatable. If your parents still insist on getting rid of it, don't just throw it out, there are too many stray animals as it is. I recommend taking the cat to an animal shelter or giving it to someone who can give it a loving home.

Try to explain to your parents how much you love this cat, and how much the cat means to you. Tell them with all of your heart, let all of your feelings show.
A lot of parents don't think that a pet is worth spending money on, but to me a pet is part of the family. Ask your parents if they would take you to the doctor if you were having these problems. They'll probably say yes, and then tell them that's how you feel about your cat.
I hope everything goes well for you, sweetie.

Hey hon, sorry to hear about your cat. He might be suffering from a urinary track disease and should probably go to the vet. It's also very important to thoroughly clean the areas where he has urinated, because the smell will attract him to do it again. Again, I'm sorry. Try to convince your mom to get him to a vet.

Has your kitty been neutered? If he hasn't, that's probably why he's doing this. If he has been fixed, there could be something wrong with him that a vet could take care of. See if you can get your parents to take him to the vet before they get rid of him.
Good luck!
