I have a 2006 Nissan titan with a four inch suspension lift, I would like to put 35 inch tires on it without buying it more lift, Is there any way I can cut parts of the fender and or wheel well to make room. I need about and extra 2 inches of clearance across (side to side). Top to bottom is fine. Thank you

Time for the body lift too! And you drive this 4x4 beast back and forth to work on paved roads. You like big and tall just because it looks mean? Good luck getting any warranty repairs on this truck. Also make sure your fuel pump is able to keep up with the added diameter of the wheels = higher drive ratio. and bigger tires almost always mean more strain on differentials. If the engine is straining and fuel pump cannot keep up the cat converters will over heat and break up and parts of the cats get blown back into the engine. I have a titan in my stall "trailer towing" that needs a new motor with only 25,000 miles on it.

You can cut the sheet metal away to make room for tires but you will have to weld the inner and outer sheet metal back together once you have cut them apart. It is not a simple cut and hack job if done correctly. And you will be surprised at how the performance will drop off with the taller tires. If you are doing this for the look, do what ever you want but if it is for off road clearance you should do all of your research first and make sure that nothing hits at full travel in either direction and that you can turn the wheels full lock in both directions.

Sure, you CAN cut the fenders. However, have you checked to see if the wheels would hit the suspension turning lock to lock? if you have bigger wheels now, and measure outwards, will they hit before your steering wheel stops hit first? You MAY have interference from underside components, so it will require careful planning and measuring to decide IF bigger wheels will fit, and IF you can turn them once under there. The sheetmetal is not so much a big deal, as is the amount of space in the wheelwell for it to turn in. You need to check that out first.

A lot of people have to cut their fenders wheelwells to get the clearance they need. You can cut the fenders and install fender flares to make it look 10x better than it would without them. Check out Summit or JC Whitney for some ideas.
