Atom smashers are like powerful microscopes. The lengths they can measure are inversely proportional to the diameter of their accelerator rings. The most powerful yet are tevatrons, producing 1-trillion electron-volt collisions. Your job is to present a budget proposal to Congress for a particle accelerator capable of measuring objects as small as the Plank length---10^-35 meter. Can it be done for less than a $Googol?

M THEORY is closley related to string theory or "the theory of everything." it tries to unify gravity, electromagnetism, strong and weak nuclear forces. when string thoery came about, there were 5 different theories. m theory, did away with all these and left a single one. yet, all this is still just a theory. i suggest you look it up. its a very interesting topic.
