Just a guess...but satire?

We don't know there is a lowest form of wit and if there is, whether it's sarcasm. And it doesn't follow if sarcasm is the lowest form of wit, there's also just one highest form to match it at the other end of the scale. If there is, my money's on satire - it's just as sharp as sarcasm but impersonal, fixing on follies and vices that are general.

I like Steve's thought-provoking and ingenious idea : 'the highest form of wit would be wit itself'. But can can the highest form of something be the thing itself ? The highest form of wit would be - yes, a form of wit : but that's isn't 'wit itself'. This isn't sarcasm, just puzzlement.

relies upon on the wielder, and the degree or style of sarcasm. "I refuse to pass into right into a conflict of wits with somebody who's come unarmed" is telling of rapier-sharp wit, while plebeian quips like "i might fairly starve" point out a 10 3 hundred and sixty 5 days old who's attempting to apply witty banter. Sarcasm being utilized by the incompetent is variety of a machete interior the arms of a individual with Tourette's.

Absurdity, it's the space beyond the pinnacle of truth. A fool wants only to know what is going on. Sarcasm is a fool's game.

Limericks.

There once was a lady Calandra
Who redecorated her dull veranda
She painted all night
But just black and white
And in the morning she looked like a panda.

Eey thank yooo.
