The best slice is Joe's Pizza. 7 Carmine St. in the Village http://www.famousjoespizza.com/ -- Not "Ray's" whichever one you are talking about (lol), and although there might not be "bad" pizza, there is plenty of mediocre and not so great pizza in NYC. Honorable mention to Pizza 33 33rd and third

Joe's Pizza in the West Village is by far the best if you're looking for a cheesy slice to eat on the go.

John's Pizza, right around the corner is also VERY good - the sausage is so good! Best choice if you're going to eat at the restaurant.

DeFara's on Avenue J and East 14th Street in the Midwood Section of Brooklyn (right at the Avenue J stop on the Q train)
L&B Spumoni Gardens on 86th Street near Avenue U in Besonhurst, Brooklyn - great pizza and wonderful spumoni and ices, lots of outdoor seating and, they have a parking lot.
In Manhattan, Patsy's on First Avenue and 117th Street in East Harlem makes excellent pizza, but when you buy pizza by the slice, you can't get any toppings - you can only get pizza with tomato sauce and cheese.

Hands down Dino's Pizzeria in Astoria, right off the Broadway subway station. The slice is massive and it's hot and cheesy and thichk crust, cooked very well done. It's everything you ever wanted in a pizza.

The best pizza in NY would have to be Antonios Pizzeria on Flatbush Ave and 7th Ave. in Brooklyn, NY. Take the Q train to 7th Ave. and you'll see it as soon as u get out the train station. They have the best squares EVER! =)

I eat pizza at least 3x a week. During my college semester sometimes 5x a week because its on my college's street. My favorite place is ROMA'S on W27st by 8th ave (same street as FIT). Pretty much anywhere in the city has great pizza, except Dominoes or Pizza Hut.

Anywhere! All pizza is good, just try to get local stuff, don't get the chain pizzas such as Sbarro's or Papa John's. Also oven brick pizza is really good, you can find that in Little Italy and other places
