1. God LOVES you and offers a wonderful PLAN for your life.

"God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life" John 3:16.

Why is it that people are not experiencing the abundant life?

2. Man is SINFUL and SEPARATED from God. Therefore, he cannot know and experience God's love and plan for his life.

Man Is Sinful
"All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" Romans 3:23.

3. Jesus Christ is God's ONLY provision for man's sin. Through Him you can know and experience God's love and plan for your life.

"God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" Romans 5:8.

4. We must individually RECEIVE Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord; then we can know and experience God's love and plan for our lives.

"As many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name" John 1:12

Prove it. Why can't you understand the simple concept that I don't give a damn what you believe if you can't provide any evidence for it being true?

This is the way I see it:

If a god exists he/she is benevolent and wishes the best for everyone. If he/she does not, then I don't think I want to know. I would much rather be an atheist. Some atheists are definitely annoying, but in general they are not as annoying as religious people who can't understand the concept of basic human rights for each person regardless of their faith (or lack thereof). Mind your own business. Don't try to victimize others in a tangible way. You may think that you're only fulfilling religious responsibilites and giving people direction, but the truth is you're infringing on people who don't have the same beliefs. At the very least, you are just annoying and won't stop quoting religious passages. Like that is going to change anyone's mind? I'm sorry but what is written in the Bible does not mean it's faultless and 100% true. This attitude just makes your religion seem like a cult.

I completely understand the whole Christian message. I was a Christian for a long time and raised Christian. I just choose to reject the message because I think as far as the religious market place goes it is the junkiest most vulgar. On the surface all sweetness and light. Yet in essence it is rotten and foul. I am not an atheist by the way. Just gave some of my thoughts.

Why should rational people believe any of this, after all supposedly all this stuff happened thousands of years ago, you can't believe eye witness accounts of the civil war.
Why hasn't God put in an appearance in modern times, it would be easy to get the message out with mass communication and the internet, instaed of thousands of years ago.
Then again what with God being an omnipotent super being, he would have known this.

Why cant you understand that not everyone has to believe what you blelieve. I have totally different beliefs than you but I still believe that we are obvioulsly in some kind of creation. I don't put much belief in a book written by men. God is greater than any book, and cannot be described with words.

I refuse to base my life on a bronze-age myth, which, by accident of history, has been accepted by a large number of people on Earth. What happened to the (rather interesting) Gospels of Timothy, Judas and Peter? Am I supposed to believe that God intervened, and told a random group of Romans that the writings of their first Pope were suddenly not part of the canon?

What do you have to say to all the people who believe, equally firmly, religions totally contradictory to the Christian faith; but could come up with a list of mythical quotes in support of their beliefs just as easily as you have?

*sigh*

Here is the problem, when you use the Bible , to prove your point, the only ones who will listen are those who accept the Bible as fact, or, in other words, those who already agree with you, will accept what you say as having any relation to anything at all.

Now, your target audience are Atheists, who don't believe in God, and don't accept the Bible as an authority on anything. So, using a book they don't accept to prove your point is pretty much a waste of time.

or, I can just go, 2 points!

Hail Eris! All Hail Discordia!

Why can't you understand this?

1. I am the ruler of the universe, and everybody should do anything I tell them.

Is it so difficult to understand?

Or maybe you understand it, but just have no reason whatsoever to believe it?

Why can't you understand that there is a difference between your beliefs and the objective truth?

Why can't you understand that not knowing this makes christians seem incredibly unintelligent and narrow minded?

Why can't you understand that your jesus is just a rehash of earlier, cooler gods?

--If God thinks this plan he made for my life is wonderful, well, lets just say he's wrong.
--If I'm separated from God, how is this my fault? He never returned any of my calls!
--I've never met Jesus, so how can I know him?
--I left the door open for a long time. Eventually you know when you're being stood up.

Why can't christians understand that the atheist looks for the evidence? Considering most of you have no idea that there is no historical evidence whatsoever for the existence of anyone who remotely resembles the biblical Jesus, not to mention the historical facts of the marriage of gnostic judaism with paganism by the council of nicea in the 4th century, nor do you have any concept of judaism to be able to understand the origins of your faith, your simplistic view just isn't worth their time.

Your entire post is based on the assumption that (a) the Christian god even exists, and (b) those are his words.

I could just as easily take some quotes from a completely different religious book, in the name of a completely different deity, and ask why you can't just accept THOSE words instead. After all, the words are written right there, so it's simple, right? Think about this from our point of view.
