The correct spanish word for diary and/or journal.?

Question

I'd suspect that there's a masculine and feminine for diary/journal though the online translations aren't specific enough to intrepret.

I'd also like to know the spanish phrase for 'daily reminder'

So, would 'Mi Diario' be correct, or should it be 'Mi El Diario'? (english, my diary)

diary as in newspaper: el periódico (l-per-ee-oh-dee-coh), it's masculine by the way and it's the most common. el diario (l-dee-ah-ree-oh) it's a synonym.
el diario also is the translation for diary like the one teens write.

Diary; is Diario (daily record) or Agenda (for appointments).

Journal; Is a Boletín or Publicación (publication) and in Spanish it´s also called diary, newspaper (periódico) and (cuaderno de viaje)

"Daily reminder" is Recordatorio diario.

"Mi Diario" is the correct way if you say "My diary". "El Diario" is "The Diary" but never say "Mi el Diario".

'Diario' is the usual word in Spain for a diary/journal. If it's an appointments diary as used by business people of simply to remind you of when you're doing things, then 'agenda' is equally appropriate.

The word "diario" is correct for a ladies diary as for a guys. Generally guys don't write diaries so you could say the word "agenda" written the same as in english is correct too. The word "jornal" in spanish applies as for newspaper and for a "working day", so "jornal" would be wrong.

El diario, or El periodico, if its published every week could be El semanario, you can use also the word La Gazeta as a femenine it's not very used.

and it would be mi diario. the article 'el' is used to refer to "the" diary. you're specifying a specific diary though with mi, you wouldnt say my the diary.

recordatorio diario- daily reminder...i think, used a translator for that one, but double checked it.
