Yes, they do. I don't think it, I know it. Not so sure about reptiles, insects & fish, but I fully believe mammals have souls. A soulless creature wouldn't sacrifice itself to save another, I've seen and heard of dogs doing this many times. A cat goes into a burning building, over and over, to get all her kittens out. She was burnt terribly, but saved her babies. A soulless creature would not do that, its much more than instinct, instinct would tell her to stay away from fire. Instinct told my dog not to get near that rattlesnake after having already been bitten once, but she felt the need to protect my daughter, so she did it again. Without a soul, there is no love, and I've seen much love from dogs, cats, horses, etc., they are not soulless, though I do think some people might be. Who knows, maybe people born without a soul is a birth defect.

I believe that all living beings have souls, including trees and other plants, insects, fish, birds, animals, etc.
All I have to do is look into the eyes of my feline companions to KNOW that there is intelligence there and that they most definitely have a soul. That is all the proof I need.

No, the Bible teaches that animals do not have souls like human beings. Jesus Christ died to save human beings. I weouldn't be surprised if Jesus gives us back our beloved pets up in heaven since He's going to have a lot of good surprises for His children!

The soul is simply the animating force that moves creatures. Obviously, animals MUST have them. As to having immortal souls, I believe that depends. God is interested in human beings, not animals. BUT, He is a loving God, and so He cares for those who we love as well. So if there is an animal that you love, I believe that God will let you have it, as a gift, and convert its soul into immortal form.

Non human animals also have a Soul, which is the Mind,Will and Emotions. They do not have a spirit,as this distinction is exclusive to mankind.

So why when someone passes away do they see their pets waiting for them? I have heard time and time again of someone slipping away and then coming back briefly and mentioning a pet that has passed. Animals are part of gods creation. I'm sure he had something good in mind for them. They are too loyal to not have souls.

They certainly have emotions, and are capable of a limited level of reason.

But I do not believe they will be in heaven, even though I love the Rainbow Bridge story/parable.

I remember in Sunday class when I was in college, commenting as a joke, that I wanted 1000 or so cats in my "home" that has been prepared in heaven... my best friend (who is allergic) said, "then I won't visit you!"

Man is the only creation with souls. Man was created in Gods "image".
I guarantee that heaven is not being overrun by barking dogs like my neighborhood seems to be.
