Very true, it's hard to resist taking the "bait" at times though. Another good point along the same lines is:
"To try to explain truth to him who loves it not, is but to give him more plentiful material for misinterpretation."

I have asked myself this Q and came up with the answer of maybe behind those bating messages lies a desire for truth in such a person and I keep hope our answers may render some help in expressing how much God loves all of us and while we still have breath that we still have a chance to find truth.
This may seem like an excuse to ignore that scripture but may I say,I have indeed refered to that scripture many times when impossible to reveal truth and due to an exhausted attempt have conceded.
Peace

An excellent point. I think from now on when I see someone trolling for attention on here, I will answer simply with the word "Troll". I therefore acknowledge their intent, give no reward for their baiting, and still get 2 points!

"And Who is there to harm you if you prove to be followers of what is good?
But even if you should suffer for the sake of righteousness, you are blessed. AND DO NOT FEAR THEIR INTIMIDATION, AND DO NOT BE TROUBLED,
but sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready TO MAKE A DEFENSE TO EVERYONE WHO ASKS YOU to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with GENTLENESS AND REVERENCE;" (1 Peter 3: 13-15)

I troll through the questions and if I feel I need to answer I will it's not for the points that I'm hear it is for the help to Gods people that's why I'm hear.

you are absolutely right- thanks for the reminder. I usually do not answer questions that try to trap but sometimes I willing believe that God is asking me to answer for a reason. However, this is a great question, and a reminder.
