I want to go on a cruise with some of my friends, but all of the ones I have found say someone in your party has to be over 21. I want to go to the Carribean, but I am flexible. I would prefer to get a good price, but at this point I am willing to pay whatever it costs.

All of the cruise lines require that at least one person in each cabin must be at least 21 years of age. Carnival requires that one person to be at least 25. I don't see any way around this requirement since you will have to provide a birth certificate, and very soon a passport, for all cruises. Considering what cruises cost I would not recommend fake documents; you'll get left at the port.

Just go to Cancun for now; you'll have a great time there. It has some of the best beaches in the Caribbean and plenty to do.

I have been on the Carribean and nobody was over 21. The youngest we had was 17 but the person booking the cruise just had to be 18 for reservations and we had that. I am not sure what they are talking about and how you have to over 21. I would call them directly instead of trying to find it over the internet. Good Luck and I am pretty shocked to hear that.

yes, I went on the Norwegian "Dawn" Dec.-2006 and there were children from newborn to teens and up.
in April - 2007 I went on the Holland America "Ms.Noordam and there were a ton of kids of all ages on that ship. A family with 6 kids got put off the ship in St.Maarten because their kids were vandalizing the ship, broke two elevators. They had been warned by the security and staff too many times. I guess the parents didn't take it serious, but were shocked when it happened.
It's better to book your cruise about two months ahead because they want to fill the boat and a lot of times, they'll give you a room upgradeso you'll try to get some of your friends to join you. they don't say that, but the travel agent tol me. I was able to board the ships in N.Y. which was convenient for me because I live in CT

My understanding is that there has to be one person over 21 in each stateroom, unless they are ajoining. Carnival's limit is 25, unless you are married. Married couples can sail at 18, but you have to have your marriage license.
